I have visited many gardens in North American and I found this garden worth the visit. My visit was in August so much of the colour was supplied by annual transplants which were used extensively in Victorian gardens. I would like to see more variety in the annual plantings as many of the same plants were used throughout the gardens and a bit more variety would be well received. I thought the perennial staking quite poor and could be done more invisibly so we would see the plants and not the stakes. The garden was well marked for visitors and I think a touch garden would be lovely for both children and adults as a small addition. On the whole the garden was well maintained especially the Rose Garden which I know as a horticulturist is high maintenance. Cheers to the staff here.

Worth a visit. Not cheap. Perhaps maybe during the warmer months, altho' it wasn't too bad when we visited it. Some of the summer blooms were still visible.

Am a member of this wonderful place . It is a great spot to enjoy and gardens are different each month .. Members receive a monthly newsletter full of information and pictures worth the membership fee! Trish is a great photographer ! Couldn't believe the flowers .. Even roses still in bloom .

The gardens are divided into separate areas, which show different styles of gardening across time. We were late in the year but it was still interesting and the victorian gardening was fabulouis.

When we woke up to fog we were a little worried about visiting these beautiful gardens. As well as enjoying the flowers we like to take loads of photographs. However, the fog soon lifted and we managed to achieve what we wanted. It is a shame that all the flowers can't be out at the same time for all the summer as we did find some of the flowers were over by the end of August when we were there. The gardens are kept so beautifully and with the aid of the map given to you on entrance you can walk on every path without feeling lost. It did seem expensive but not compared to English entrance prices to the equivalent.

This garden would be better with more plants in bloom, which means visit in July or August, not mid-September. The garden is nicely laid out with a brochure that numbers the gardens and shows you the way. It would be nicer if more plants were labeled. Most were not.
