We booked three nights at Riverglass and it was a package so we got four complimentary ski passes for two kids. The second day was really cold and my children didn't want to ski. We went to the counter first thing in the morning and asked whether we could exchange the ski pass to the next day instead. We half expected them to say no and was prepared to pay an extra ski pass the next day. But the staff was so kind and she checked with the supervisor and came back to tell us that they would exchange the ski pass for that day to the next day since we were only checking out after the following day. We were very grateful. The rental shop also cancel our rentals of the ski and poles and refunded the money so that we could rent again the next day - and the weather cooperated and the children had a great time of skiing the first and the third day of our stay. Blue Mountain, you have just gained a faithful customer, we will be back next year!

I have skied this hill (as opposed to mountain) a number of times, and always enjoy the day. It is great to have this option close to Collingwood. Skiers who are used to the Alps or the Rockies will be disappointed (a run takes about 5-10 min if that), but given what else is available for skiing in the region, it's certainly nice to have. They opened up the Orchard chair lift last year, so the ski area has expanded even more. Prices are expensive, but understandable given the same overhead needed to maintain the slopes. The village has a good selection of restaurants as well. Fun for families, friends, or couples!

I took my family up on the last weekend of February 2015. We stayed @ the Mosaic hotel on the resort. I have been coming to Blue Mountain since 1991 and learned to Ski there, the one problem I have always had is being able to find a decent parking spot in one of the many parking lots at the foot of the main Ski hill. I am pleased to report that this problem has FINALLY been solved by the introduction of VALET parking! No longer does one have to circle the parking lots like a great white looking for prey, simply drive up, give your keys to the valet and take your equipment with you, the cost is only $15 which is well worth the opportunity to relax knowing you don't have to get to the hill bright and early in order to park close by. My previous trip to Blue Mountain was in the end of December 2014, during this trip my son took discover snowboarding package, which included a "circuit" type lesson system where one progresses through various stages while learning how to snowboard. Each stage teaches a new skill needed to snowboard and each stage has a different instructor assigned to teach that stage. In December, my son had a terrible experience doing this because there were instructors who were not bothered in the least to teach or busy smoking of to the side of the hill. My son was so put off by the whole experience that he soon tired of trying to teach himself and came back to the rental chalet to exchange his snowboard equipment for skis. I wrote a review about this experience on TripAdvisor in which I strongly recommended anyone looking to learn skiing or snowboarding at Blue Mountain to pay extra and get private lessons given my son's experience with the circuit teaching. Will I am very pleased to say that Blue Mountain has certainly fixed the problem quite well! This time around, I myself had the opportunity to take the circuit type lessons and I was thoroughly impressed by the whole experience. The instructors were EXTREMELY attentive and focused and gave excellent pointers, they watched your progression carefully and once they felt you were capable enough, they suggested you move on to the next stage. All in all, I had a wonderful time and can honestly say that the circuit training works, and works well. For children, I strongly recommend Blue Mountain's "Kids at Blue" camps. My daughter is 6 and we put her in a full day skiing camp. She was put in a group of children whose ages ranged between 6 and 12. At first my wife and I were a little weary about putting her in a group with children twice her age but our concerns were addressed when we were assured that all of the children are at the same level which in this case was complete beginner. Class began @ 10am and we picked her up @ 3pm, she was provided a lunch. At the time she started, my daughter knew very little if anything about skiing, by 3pm she as confidently able to make a "pizza" with her skis and come down a beginner hill, she was also able to stop and turn! The whole experience was excellent for her and a great confidence builder. My wife and I were thrilled and will certainly put her in the day camp on our next visit. So in conclusion, this trip was a MUCH better overall experience than the previous one we did in December 2014. The staff at Blue Mountain are all very customer focused and make sure everyone has a wonderful experience, which we certainly did!Looking forward to our next visit.

Having moved to Toronto I quickly realized this is as good as the skiing will get in Ontario.Don't judge it with Quebec because this would be an intermediate hill at best in the Laurentians or Eastern Townships.Still lots to do in the area and they did a good job around the hill (Notice I didn't say mountain).

OK Blue Mountain is not in the Rockies but neither am I. With 5 - 6 pack lifts and outstanding snow making I get up fast, great snow conditions (for mostly mad made and a wide variety of slopes. With the addition of the Orchard area at the South end of the resort and it's own 6-pack it has opened up some great Green trails and few baby blues. The Kids at Blue program is outstanding for introducing kids to skiing. Also good to hook up kids with similar kids for a fun supervised day on the slopes. They get ski instruction while I get to play on the double blacks! Each year the hill gets a tad higher as I get a tad older!

Loved that they have guides who direct the lifts especially on busy days! Most people don't seem capable of filling all seats on a lift chair on their own.

Busy Ontario ski hill - it's not a mountain!Good range of hills for us (beginner-intermediate skiers). If you can stay a weekend with friends it makes a good trip.

Having come from out west - i tend to be a little more judgemental on the ontario and quebec ski hills. Blue has put alot of effort into making the hill better. Main base is still pretty crowded - but there are several bases, and lots of space to spread people across the hill.

This resort has a wide range of trails but all are fairly quick. Have fun in the glades and enjoy the quick lift service during the week.

Skied @ Blue on Feb 10, stellar blue sky day with no wind and pretty moderate crowds (no liftlines). Snow was excellent (except for that ice rink at tthe top of what was known as Mogul Alley). I am bad with names of runs. Overall very good, Decent variety of terrain , they even seem to be growing some bumps (ie: moguls)My peeve is that there are way to many out of control useless skiers on ancient gear that make me apprehensive, to ski without always being on the lookout for the yahoo behind you, never mind the accidents looking to happen below you. But at least they are out there trying, just wish they would try to get better.
