We went with our young baby and had a blast! Loved being able to swim directly outdoors into the frigid weather. Very family-friendly.

If you want the experience of swimming outside in deep freeze weather, this is the place. $15+ tax for 3-hour stay, one towel, and use of locker (extra $8 if you want a lock). There are two outdoor pools, one with hotter water than the other. I found the outdoor pool - the one with just warm water - and that is connected to the indoor pool - much more comfortable for swimming. Anyway, the really hot water pool is too small for swimming. Out at the outer end of the large outdoor- warm water pool, with the sun shining, the view of the snowy surroundings, it was (almost) as good as swimming in Caribbean beaches. The indoor pool is perhaps more for small kids, as there's not much in terms of special water features. The staff (at reception and at the pools) were very nice. We loved it, and plan to go back.

Well worth the extra money to take the kids, especially if they get bored, and it's so close to all the hotels.

Lastly, went to the so called Plunge Aquatic centre, which was suppose to have a indoor and outdoor heated pool area. The water was quite cold (atleast for us with the lil one), we had to literally waste the whole attraction as we found it quite disturbing that the pool was too small/outdated both with respect to service and quality of infrastrucure and equipment (the dryer was out of funtion, no place to throw the used towels, apparently they had a stick inside the locker that said please drop the used towels at the front, but I am sorry we are not paying a hefty price to be at a resort for not having things available, bottom line everyone in the change rooms threw their towers here and there and no one drops them at the front desk so why not atleast have a spot where one can drop used towels? :S Common sense should prevail!!!! The lady or rather child at the front desk was so shocked to find out that we 3 (me, my wife and the toddler) needed 6 towels to use as the fact we had to ask for towels at a resort facility as is .. is questionable they should have the towels available in the change rooms for ppl to pick as they choose to.Perhaps my expectations are high, but I am also the person who is paying $300/month for Ontario's best fitness club which boasts resort like facilities (Life Time Fitness in Mississauga), and given I was at a resort and received sub-par service and offering, did get me agitated. Bottom line, staff needs to be courterous unbiased in service offering and keep their personal issues/comments/suggestions to themselves as a guest patron all I am there for is to relax rather than getting into random anecdotal comments about you need 6 towels or you have to pay the bill before you leave etc. As that all was absolutely un-necessary in my opinion.

Although my 3-year-old and 5-year-old had fun, this was not worth the $50 it cost our family of 4 for a three hour pass. It's basically an indoor/outdoor pool with a couple of slides added with a little kid splash pad area. The little kiddie slide was so fast my 3-year-old flew right off the bottom. As was mentioned in another review, equal value for a $15 day pass could be had at our local YMCA. Overall, it was fine, except for the super inflated price.

We went here after our trip to the Scenic Caves and weren't as impressed as I had hoped. It was very close to the Scenic Caves, which was nice. Not a lot to mark it on the outside of the building tho - we drove right by it. I went with my three kids - 9, 7 and 5. We paid for the 3 hour package and to be honest I'm glad that we didn't pay for the full day as I was ready to leave at about the 2 hours mark. The kids were still having fun, but just shy of 3 hours they were done. The place the was very crowded - there was no chair to be had, so we had to leave out stuff on the pool deck or in a locker with no lock or pay $7 for a lock. Kids played in the inside play park for about 10 minutes total, in the hot tub for about 30 mins total, and in the outside section for the rest. Rope pool is deep water and you must pass a test in order to use it - slightly unfair as my 7 yr swims very well but had trouble navigating through people to pass the test so therefore couldn't use the rope. My 9 year went off a few times, but rope is so short you don't get a good swing and water was very cold she said. The only slide was too steep and too many people to use. Kids mostly waited in line to use the one water slide - not enough pool deck over there either and pool deck is quite rough - try landing on your knees on the slide inside...ouch! It might sound like I have nothing nice to say :) but the kids did have a great time, but it was definitely overpriced. I would not go back.

Not what I would call a water park. Good for little ones. My two children age 11 and 13 were bored after a half an hour. Would be best for kids 8 and under. Clean

The only reason I decided to go is because they had an indoor hot tub, I was looking for a good soak. Unforuntaly, when I paid and entered the area, I found out the hot tub was closed for maintance (I'm assuming). I almost left 15 mins later. I decided to stay with my family and their kids. I'm glad I did, because I stayed another 2 hours. I felt like a kid. We played pool basketball, I went down both slides and even dove into the deep pool. The pools seemed clean (as far as public pools go) and there were plenty of lifeguards on staff.

This is great if you live around the area and take your kids during off season or in winter. Typically, it's overcrowded and overpriced.
