I spend weeks at a time in the Mara as a wildlife volunteer and I have been to almost every Conservancy, but this was my first time in Olare. It was the BEST I have ever been too - the animals are so relaxed and happy and not stressed to see 15 cars surrounding them at one time. I saw three animals I have never seen in 3 years in the Mara and it is managed perfectly. Stay at Kempinksi and you will be in Heaven

The Olare Orok conservancy (now part of the Olare Motorogi Conservancy) is a wildlife fest. All big cats present and prepared to give you great up close and personal experiences. We went in January 2015, the proliferation of 'babies' was unbelievable. From tiny elephants, cheetahs, numerous lions to dung beetles.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve was wonderful, but we saw many more predators in the Olare Orok Conservancy, and there were far fewer vehicles, so the experience was much more solitary.

The diversity and quantity of animals on the conservancy blew me away. The land was well taken care of, and it seemed that the quantity of grazing animals was higher on the conservancy than on the national reserve. I stayed at the Porini Lion Camp, and rated the camp as excellent.

This is the only possible future to conserve what the Human Race is wiping out. You only have to go into the Mara to see the ugly lodges and herds of cattle to appreciate that we all need to help and support those people who are trying to halt this inexorable damage being caused to the World.

This Conservancy is a beautiful place to see all the Big 5, along with the Ugly 5! We were very fortunate and also met the 'managers' of the Conservancy while waiting at the airstrip. What a fabulous, knowledgable couple of Kenyans they are and doing so much for the country and it's people. The landscape here is wonderful and shows off AFRICA quite nicely. We stayed at Porini Lion Camp and they accommodated our request to remain in the Conservancy for our visit, as the Mara was our next stop. So much to see and do, go here, you won't regret it!
