The Conservancy provides you with the Mara without the crowds and the flexibility to drive off road on the run with the eight hyenas and two jackals as they chase the gazelle for two miles.

Mind-blowing, breath-taking experience of Africa's wildlife and splendor. Recommend this experience.

We just spent 3 wonderful nights at Topi house. We had a fantastic experience. The house is in Olare Orok Conservancy, in the middle of nowhere with tons of animals around. It is just few minutes drive from Masai Mara. A beautiful house, simple but with a lot of personality. Breakfast and lunch was served in the garden, and dinner was served inside with candle light; Just after having had drinks by the fire outside. The service was impeccable. 6 people, kind, nice and always available. Food was very good. They definitely made a lot of efforts to make something special. Coming back from the drives, we were offered a drink, or a tea, or anything. Our guide, Fred, was really fantastic. We followed the daily life of 2 different families of lions... twice a day, everyday. We had 2 small kids, and everybody was happy to play with them and to accomodate their needs. Downside, not easy to find the house.

Cheetah hunting Impala. A Lioness carrying cubs in her mouth. Leopards on a tree. Handsome lions drinking water. We saw them all. After three days we were satiated and even though we normally can't get enough of the Big Cats, this time we felt we had had our fill of them.

We saw everything we hoped to see just in this conservancy. We enjoyed watching a pride of lions whilst having our sundowner and then witnessed more lions at a watering hole at sunrise. We also saw a large number of giraffe who we sat and watched for goes at dusk which was a beautiful scene. The highlight was seeing the leopard 'Fig' who on seeing a hyena raced up a tree and starting feeding on a stashed gazelle. The wildlife was as rich if not richer than the Masai Mara GR and made for a more pleasant game viewing experience. We only really saw at the most 2 other vehicles in the conservancy so we didn't ever feel like we were crowding the animals. We had breakfast in the conservancy too which was amazing and so peaceful. Like with Ol Kinyei conservancy, if we were to return to the Porini camps (which we hope to do) then we would opt to spend more time in the conservancy than in the game reserve.
