I was on a long road trip that took me through Paris -- Idaho. I had heard about the Paris Mormon Tabernacle and decided to take a quick look.On the beautiful day I visited the Tabernacle really stood out. A beautiful and striking building that is worth a visit. The architecture is beautiful and the stonework is remarkable for a place like Paris. This is especially notable in a place that has severe weather in the winter which takes its toll on the local housing and commercial establishments.The interior is interesting as well, with a nice pipe organ. There are free tours of the building and grounds if one is interested.Worth a quick stop if you are on your way to Jackson or to Bear Lake.

My family and I went to Paris Idaho to see this tabernacle. It hold such an amazing history from the early pioneers who came from under the direction of Brigham Young, and later John Taylor to colonize places like Idaho and Arizona. It was awesome seeing the original stone that they used to construct the building. As well knowing that the majority of the building hadn't lost any of its original features with the exception of the roof tiles. Also i liked seeing the monument that was erected for Charles C. Rich who was an apostle of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He helped found Paris Idaho and other locations all over Idaho, Utah, and even California. So for me he became a hero of mine especially he knew one of mine ancestors. so would i go back to it, the answer is yes!

Built in the 1880s and refurbished, but not significantly altered, in 2004-2005, the Mormon tabernacle of Bear Lake Stake, Idaho, is predominately of Romanesque revival style and features locally quarried red sandstone and locally harvested timber. Exceptional craftsmanship is displayed inside and outside. A monument to Charles C. Rich, an early Mormon leader, is located on the grounds. Admission is free. Guided tours are available much of the year. Bring your camera. The Paris Historical Museum is across the street.

The Tabernacle is so majestic & beautiful that it makes the rest of the small town look dowdy. Worth a drive to the historic town even if you miss one of the tours.

This is a very beautiful building built by early Mormon settlers in the valley. Tour guides take you through the building and giving the history of the building. Most of the building is original allowing one to see the remarkable craftsmanship of the people who built it.We were fortunate to be there when a gentleman was playing the organ, and it was wonderful. The acoustics are amazing.

We were staying in Garden City, Utah and visited Minnetonka Cave before touring the nearby Paris Tabernacle.The Paris Tabernacle is owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Church offers complimentary guided tours daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day.Following are several reasons to make a visit.- It's free.- The Tabernacle is an amazing landmark that was erected in 1888.- Very little has changed in the interior and exterior of the structure during the Tabernacle's 125-year history.- An opportunity to view incredible craftsmanship.It is impressive that the Tabernacle was designed to seat 1,500 people when it was constructed more than a century ago.Although the Tabernacle is primarily used for church meetings, we learned that the night before our visit a local high school held graduation at the Tabernacle. In addition to being an important landmark the Paris Tabernacle continues to be a fully functioning community gathering place.
