Lacamas Lake offers a bit of peace and beauty within the metro area. Boating options of course, but bike and pedestrian trails are wonderful. Eventually, the trail is to connect around the entire lake.

From fishing to waterskiing, this lake has lots to offer. I was surprised to find this large lake right in town when I first moved to the area 10 years ago.

Two lakes, a playground, picnic areas all over plus a damn spouting water and at least four water falls accessible by hiking trails. All this set in beautiful northwest forests. There is even one area set aside for wild flowers.Hiking is my favorite way to see all the sites in the park but you can bike just as easily.

This is a lovely lake, with lots of parking, and an easy boat ramp for paddle boards or kayaks. We were there on a very windy day, which made paddling a challenge, but kept a lot of other people off the lake (which was a plus). It's hard to believe that it's only a short drive from Portland -- feels like you're in the mountains.

We went to Lacamas Lake to cool off and escape the Portland Heat! Round Lake is so quiet! Lots of family friendly hiking and biking trails. BBQ's and picnic spots. We hiked to the back of the lake and found a swim spot all to our selves! We did not see any motorized boats on this lake. Lots of fishing and Kayaking.

The new remodel in the East end of the lake is very nice with the new lodge, dock, etc. I enjoy the walking trails around the lake with my four legged friend. Well maintained trails. Folks actually pick up after their pets. Limited access to the lake itself unless you have a boat or want to fish off the dock or road at end of lake.

LaCamas Lake and the adjoining Round Lake are little jewels in the city. The entire LaCamas Park is amazing with its miles and miles of trails in the woods.

Lacamas Lake in Camas is a beautifully maintained family and dog friendly park, and offers the visitor sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the nearby cities. There are multiple access points, miles and miles of trails, picnic areas, and ample parking.

I often walk my dog on the trails at Lacamas. There is a nice park at one end for children. In the warmer months there are kayaks to rent. I highly recommmend renting them when you can as they're a lot of fun. I love watching the lake, observing the ducks and geese who gather there. It really is a beautiful park. The city of Camas is building a lovely new lodge type event center at one end, which I think will enhance the surroundings and allow more people to enjoy this lovely and tranquil setting.

This is one of the best parks that Camas has to offer. There are well marked and maintained hiking trails that one can go to various places of this huge park. There are picnic tables and bbq's where one can bring your family for a nice outing. There are places to fish all around the lake. You can bring your leashed dog with you on the trails. There is wildlife to see such as birds and deer. It is really a nice place to go and the best part, it is very safe.
