They put on a great "Junior Discovery Day," with lots of helpful info sessions on the college application process, the University itself (no slouches here), and breakout sessions for different areas of study. Beautiful campus, too!!

I was amazed by how NEW everything looked, and the athletic facilities were impressive. A very nice looking campus.

Our local university. Maybe best computer forensics and petroleum programs in country. Outstanding in some engineering areas as well. Otherwise a solid but not especially stellar reputation and way overpriced. Law school is cash cow and struggling to raise ratings but top students here as good as from any of the so-called top tier schools. Facilities very nice overall and location in Tulsa is a plus for both locals and students, with a rather excellent sports program for such a small Div I school. Major gripe with parking around campus.

The University of Tulsa is one of America's great universities. It is a research oriented institution. Excellent programs in Pre-Med, Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, and Arts & Sciences. McFarlin Library is vast, and it's rare book section has a nationally known James Joyce collection. Beautiful campus, with many sports venues: Reynolds Center Arena, Case Tennis Center, Chapman Stadium, and more! Excellent art program. Excellent new Performing Arts Center!

We had a great tour of the campus, and then later in the evening attended our niece's wedding in the chapel, it was a beautiful venue for the ceremony.

Went to do research at McFarlin Library. Very helpful staff. Was amazed at how beautiful the campus was.

As a TU grad, I have always loved this campus (it's beautiful no matter what the season) and rich collegiate history. McFarlan library is gorgeous. TU gives the back east ivy leagues a run for their money, but that's just me, a proud grad!

I am a university professor in New Jersey, and I can assure you that the guy from New York who referred to the University of Tulsa (TU) as 4th tier has absolutely no idea what he is talking about. Outside of one New Jersey school (Princeton), one Connecticut school (Yale) and a couple of New York schools (Columbia and NYU), TU is equal or superior to anything that the New York area has to offer. That is confirmed by all kinds of evidence, including student selectivity, student test scores, etc. TU is among the top 90 national universities, according to U.S. News & World Report, and has one of the largest endowments in the U.S. ($900 million at last count). The new campus-based performing arts center is fantastic, as are the engineering, student union, football, basketball, tennis and student recreation facilities. Student housing is among the best in the country. The educational quality and value are among the best anywhere. TU students rank among the top 10 in the U.S. in terms of their satisfaction or "happiness" with the university, according to a national publication. As for the cost, traditionally TU had the second-lowest tuition among all private universities in America (following BYU), and only started raising its tuition when it realized that there's a strong correlation between the price of tuition and perceived quality. The reality, though, is that (like at Princeton here in New Jersey, or most other top-tier universities) few students pay the full price because there is generous financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants and loans. With regard to Tulsa being "nowheresville flyover land," that's a matter of opinion. Personally, I think that Tulsa is just an OK place to visit but a wonderful place to live (considering the central U.S. location, friendly people, low cost of living, etc.), while the New York area is a great place to visit but a horrible place to live (lots to see and do, and lots of economic opportunity, but massive corruption, unfriendly people, huge taxes and cost of living, terrible pollution, etc.). Having lived in the New York area for many years, as well as San Francisco, Boston, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Tulsa, Boise (ID), Lawrence (KS), Austin (TX), Denton (TX) and Honolulu, I think that Tulsa is probably the best place that I've ever lived. And the University of Tulsa is a gem.

I grew up in Tulsa then left - went back and saw how nice the TU campus was and was amazed. Love It!!!!!
