Interesting nearly cathedral sized church. Reflects much of history of Ludlow. Wonderful misericord carvings. Possible to climb tower for views

As other reviewers have indicated, the Church can easily be missed, which may seem extraordinary, given its prominence. We found it by following the tower. The Church is well worth visiting, not only for the beautiful views from the tower on a clear day, but also for the majesty of the interior. The stained glass windows are particularly impressive, and I loved the enthusiasm and pride of the volunteers who greeted us on arrival. There's no fee to enter but it costs £3 to climb the tower.

At the gift shop get your passport to the tower. Climb the 100 steps to the top and see for miles on a clear day. The building is beautiful inside too and very friendly people are happy to tell you any history of the building. They have lots of current events on and more recently attended the fashion show they hosted.

Beautiful Church, we ambled around the Church. The wooden roof is spectacular I love historic buildings and this was simply beautiful. If you are in Ludlow the Town and Church are definitely worthy of a visit.

Dirty rainy Sunday in Ludlow, happened across the church which despite its size is well hidden. Our welcome from an elderly gentleman straight out of a sitcom like vicar of dibley was warm, funny and wonderfully eccentric. The church is the 2nd largest parish church in England and literally a hidden gem as it is surrounded by other buildings and only the tower is visible from the town. More akin to a cathedral the altar and stained glass were lovely and there is nice shop.Free entry. But donations recommended , £3 to go up tower.

Very warm inside! Beautiful stained glass windows. Lots of information inside about the church which was very useful. A hidden gem which we spotted down a small alleyway.

Lovely church, look out particularly for the misericords in the choir, each is different. The heart of prince aurthur , older brother of Henry 8th is buried here, he died in Ludlow castle..
