My first trip to this very nice theatre. I sat upstairs, where the seats were much more comfortable than many in similar theatres, and I had a good view of the play. However that did not help much as I did not know what on earth was happening in 'Little Light' until the last quarter hour or so.

This is a great local theater away from the congestion and prices of London's west end. We saw a production of Shaw's Widower's Houses. It was well produced and acted, of the quality one expects of theater in London. The theater is set up with seating in the round on two levels. It is small and intimate, and there's not a bad seat in the house. Catch a production here.

Small intimate theatre in the round. Have visited many times and have always been impressed by the quality and variety of the productions. Small bar , adequate for the size of the theatre. Also well placed to enjoy pre or après theatre dining in the many nearby restaurants.

I went to see the latest play Pomona. It is a really interesting and different play. I have not seen many dystopian plays but this had a really interesting structure which you had to concentrate on. It was beautifully acted. A must.

Go to this theatre quite regularly, and never been disappointed. Even if the play is not to one's taste, there is always a good performance to admire, or an interesting staging to appreciate. The close proximity of the players brings a special nuance to the encounter, which is hard to match in any other theatre in my experience.

I've been going to the Orange Tree for years and I've never been disappointed. The experience is always good -- interesting restaurants nearby and a lovely bar at the theatre. It's very convenient to the Richmond station, on the District line or through the overground from Waterloo. The venue is intimate and the choice of material always interesting. Actors and directors have major credits and the theatre is known for its fine directing apprentice program. Tickets are inexpensive. It's a real gem, well-respected by those in the industry. The wonderful founder and artistic director has just retired after four decades, but he left a legacy that will continue to flourish.

It's the fact that this is a theatre in the round that really makes it stand out. It really feels like you're part of the play. I think they put on the best French farces ever, and there's a lovely cosy feel to the whole place.

The 2 plays were very entertaining and the audience very interested and also very interesting to people watch. I love the Orange Tree and have taken my son their since he was little. We all love it as the productions are always a little different and sitting on the stage is always fun. Love the bar too. Long live the Orange Tree

The Orange Tree theatre started out many years ago in a room above th Orange tree Pub across the road. The purpose built theatre in the round was the result of a collaboration with the local Council who made its construction part of the deal to build the next door office block.Sam Walters, the original director, is just about to retire but the shows are still very original and interesting. Small theatre at its best.

A great little experimental theatre with shows at very reasonable prices. Perhaps not the most comfortable seating but if you are absorbed you don't notice that.
