Visited Langinkoski with my husband and young son. This place is impressive, from the little bridges to the impressive lodge, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The rapids are great to watch.I took a walk through the woods whilst my husband was taking photographs, very quiet and peaceful.Great place to visit and take in the different scenery, looking forward to going back.

The Fishing Lodge is a picturesque sight to visit, probably the most beautiful in Kotka. It takes a little effort to get to the site, since it's slightly hidden in a suburbian area, but it is well worth the trouble. The rapids are gorgeous any time of the year and the main building itself is majestic in a simple way. It's pretty unbelievable something so humble might be a place for a czar... The items in the lodge seem really quite modest, it's really interesting how simple a life the family led in Finland. The site makes your imagination run wild but it also raises questions: How did they manage to sleep with the roaring rapids? How did they keep locals away or did they interact with them? How was the lodge kept safe during the wars? The little orthodox chapel is a must-see, a little unexpected gem! There are two cafes at the site, so you can reward yourself with a nice snack while there. Wear good outdoor shoes and take a little walk around, the site is enchanting! The only thing ruining the experience is the sight of cars speeding over a bridge nearby, so try not to spot it through the woods!

Great historical place, fantastic scenery- no wonder that the Russian Emperor wanted to stay there! It is a bit odd that there are two cafes next to each other. We went to the one next to the parking place; coffe was good (refill included in price), fantastic Salmon sandwich and vety good pancakes with real, self-whipped cream and jam. Nice!

The authentic log-house of the Russian Emperor Alexander III, which retains a real spirit of the period and is well-preserved by Finland -- once the autonomous part of the Russian empire.Very picturesque rapids, a memorable northern landscape and locals fishing for salmon and trout and letting the fish go if it does not comply with the minimal requirements for length !

This is a wonderful place to visit. Once we made our way around the construction equipment and into the woods, we were transported to a different time. Do make sure to talk to a docent. We heard some great stories and learned lots from the man who was there when we were. It seems a simple place for a Tsar, but it is easy to understand why he loved it. The lodge itself is not very large but is beautifully constructed and furnished with natural materials. There are a couple of other buildings but the other one to note is the chapel. If you have time, sit on the porch of the fishing lodge and soak up the atmosphere. You will be refreshed.

This is a real must-see. It's a homely little cottage which seems incongruous that the Emperor of all the Russias stayed at! But the surroundings are fantastic and the whole experience is worth taking up.

Very great place near City of Kotka. An old Fishing Lodge of Russian Tsar. A Beautifull place with a great history when Finland was a part of Old Russia. Even the Tsar of Russia were interested about of a beutifull Finland. ( Like those thousands of nowaday russians).

Awesome nature and historic surroundings on a little island in middle of thundering rapids. The past and the exciting stories of the Russian royal family's life in this wooden summer house over a century ago will become even more alive, if you ask for a guide.

The poor emperor and empress had a crap architect so their beds didn't fit in the room side by side. They had to sleep head to head. This log "palace" is sure to impress and the scenery is amazing. I'm sure anyone would love to stroll aroud the property with all the small wooden bridges and running water everywhere.
