Langinkoski area surrounding the fishing lodge is one of the most beatiful areas in the province of Kotka. If you are for some reason visiting Kotka you should definately go there (specially in summertime). The lodge itself isn't that special and probably not worth the entrance fee.Its easily accesible by Bus lines 11,12,13 from city center.

The place is extremely beautifull: nature, river with rapids, nice imperial house. Guide told us romantic story about Russian imperior and his wife.

Langinkoski Nature Reserve has been established to protect the natural beauty along the wooded riverbanks and to preserve the landscape around the Czar's fishing lodge. The Russian Czarist couple wanted to built this lodge in 1888. The state-owned nature reserve covers some 28 hectares. Admission to the area is free but you have to pay if you want to go in the lodge. Our children loved to sit on rocks and watch both the rapids and gulls.
