there is a teleferic from busteni right to babele/sphinx or you start at sinaia teleferic and walk to busteni teleferic.on a bright day the hiking is great'.wonderful view. eating hot soup at the last' cabana' is a great way to end the day

There are multiple tracks in this region. It is very important to have somebody to knows the area. It is pretty dangerous especially during the winter. You can go to babele or to cascada balea and many other attractions.

We took a cable car from Busteni to the top of the mountain over 2300 altitude. I was apprehensive as never been in a cable car but the views at the top were absolutely breathtakingly stunning. It was so worth it and I would recommend a visit. I took many amazing photos. There was deep snow in places but we walked and visited the 'old women' and 'the sphinx' geological/historical features of this area.Also on the mountain we visited the ski slope, although we didn't ski we used sledges and it was obviously an enjoyable place to ski.

I go to Partia Kalindaru in Busteni to go for ski and this is my first time to go for ski. For me as a person coming from country which doesn't have any snow and ski resorts what I can say is this place is good enough and also good place for the beginner that wanted to learn ski

The landscape is impressive, from a mountain over 2300 m in altitude. A must-go in the area in my opinion !!

I didn't travel to Romania prepared for hiking so we took the cable car/gondola up the mountain. For a round trip it cost 70 Lei (about $20). The views from the cable car were beautiful as we rode up about 2000 meters through the snow covered trees. Once at the top we walked out into what can on,y be described as breathtaking natural beauty. We walked a small ways to the "old woman" and the "sphinx" rocks and then we walked a bit more for around 90 minutes. There was plenty of hiking that could have been done from this point but we were not in proper gear and the snow made it quite difficult to move about in doc martens! The views are absolutely stunning from this point. We were in clouds, above clouds and below clouds. The sun was shining and to walk away from the rocks you find absolute quiet. It was so serene.Truly a must do if you make your way to this part of Romania. You will not regret it.

You can take the cable car or just drive up to it.We chose the cable car..amazing views.The rock formations Babele & the Sphinx are on the same plateau.The walk on the plateau itself is amazing and it's so big that you'll be out of the tourist crowd in just a few meters.A must see when in the area

We only managed to hike to around half-way up the mountain due to weather and time constraints, but we loved it. Hikes are well marked, and really beautiful. The bears had all gone to sleep as winter approached, so we weren't concerned about getting gnawed on.There's unfortunately a fair amount of litter in some spots closer to the road. There is an iPhone and android app with maps of the hiking trails, but I couldn't get it to work (it always got stuck at trying to update the maps). The tourist office isn't open over the weekends (Romania has a way to go when it comes to making the place a bit more tourist-friendly), but we got enough info from the web, picked up the trail markers we needed, and it was easy from there.

The Sphinx, The Old Ladies? Nature had it's way up on the high plateau of the Bucegi Mountains.Great hiking trails, moderate difficulty.

The Bucegi mountains make an excellent adventure for a day out. We rode the cable car up from Busteni. By the time you reach the top you are transformed into a new world. The scenery is stunning. We decided to hike down from the top which took about 4 hours and was a challenging hike but one I would recommend to those who are up for a challenge.
