The gardens are huge and very well maintained. It is possible to take a mini-train from the palace grounds or walk around (its a bit of long walk though), There are huge crowds at the ticketing counter for the trains and the prices are a bit steep as well.

The royal stables have nice horse performances and visits. See www.bartabas.fr I would recommend their show for those who stay in Versailles for more than one day or who have already visited the castle.

gardens are really nice, there is plenty of space and you do not feel crouds of people that enteres Versailles. however i even wouldn't say that they do fountain show at all, they just turn on the water in fountains at the same time. we spent half a day waiting for incredible music and fountain show and later felt cheated. so - do not spend your time waiting for the show, there is no show

The world famous gardens of french kings is absolutely marvellous but is not for the weak and frail. You got to walk long distances to really appreciate the history of nooks and corners to the full.A short ride in a train is available though. Some knowledge of french history helps.the painstaking effort by the french government in maintaining the glory of the gardens is commendable.The major drawback i found was the long wait we had to endure to purchase the ticket , which is quite steep by the way. when we finally were able to enter the gardens some of our enthusiasm had evaporated....

I was surprised how much I enjoyed these gardens. Just wonder around and enjoy the fountains, statues, flowering trees and plants. It is all so visually appealing. I wandered into the Queen's theater building in the gardens. Just enjoy the sites and smells!

Estos jardines son bellos por donde los veas. Tiene una fuente central con unos monumentos preciosos; los jardines poseen maseteros, estatuas, banquetas y podrás perderte en los laberintos.

В туристических местах часто бывает очень многолюдно, толпы иностранцев всех мастей косяками проносятся мимо тебя, мешая насладиться атмосферой места.Для тех, кто желает покоя, сады трианонов- идеальное место. Для посещения требуется доп плата. Мы с супругой посещали только сады, во дворцы не тянулоОсобенно удивили "зелёные сады"- как обычные аллеи, только под ногами газоны с одуванчиками, клевером и другими цветами. Ни одного человека за полтора часа прогулки! И это Версаль! Так же есть аллеи, искусственные возвышенности с ручьями и насаждениями- ландшафт более разнообразен на промежутке между дворцом и деревней Марии-Антуанетты, правда здесь уже есть признаки туристической активности.В общем, считаю место всецело стоит посещения дополнительной платы..

Tanto o Palácio como os Jardins são dignos de elogios tanto quanto a limpeza e conservação, quanto a beleza, bom gosto e riqueza. Tudo muito lindo. Os jardins pra mim são os mais lindos do mundo.

сами сады оставили большее впечатление, чем фонтаны. Особенно милые дикие лужайки с одуванчиками и маргаритками на окраине сада. В принципе можно найти тихое место для пикника.
