The old cathedral is small compared to some bigger ones like notre damn and not so crowded. The architecture is beautiful with detailed carvings and stainglass work

We went to mass on Xams Day and enjoyed the hymns and the service as well as the historical association

Not very fancy like Notre Dame or Saint Chapelle, but very beautiful. Small and quiet beautifully proportioned.

The grand plaza in front, unique in this city, the grandeur of the construction, the solemnity of its interior, elegant yet simple. Worth walk around the quarter and discover the small restaurants and stores, the market and fairs. A true pleasure.

Very impressive cathedral. Superb stain glass windows. The stations of the cross are represented throughout the cathedral

This is a very quiet & one of the oldest parts of Versailles,, the cathedral is very grand & set in a beautiful square. The first time I was there it was a warm sunny afternoon & there is a small bar in the rue de cathedrale leading up to the square & front door,,, 2 guys hammering out billie halliday classics on classical guitar,,, summertime indeed ,,, chilling out perfection,,, one of lifes magical moments.

typical baroque style, many important people of the XVIII century are buried there. Madame de Pomapadour had her funeral mass there, but the king was not allowed to attend!!!(she was not royalty).it is daid as the cortege funebre passed he was on the balcony and cried...and the he went out hunting

On your way out from Versailles back to the train station make a small detour and stop by this cathedral. It is a nice spot away from the commercialism of the main streets. Wander the back streets to get a more residence feel of Versailles. Standard European cathedral with some activities. Some cafes around to give your feet a rest from the day of Versailles.

Well worth visiting. Go to the Potage on your way if you would like to be educated in the ways of fruit production(hardly anyone goes there). Cost €4.50/each. You will have the place to yourself. Best time when the fruit trees are in flower(spring).

From the outside it did not look that impressive we were not sure if it was open !!In side music was playing and they were filming, we believe, a religious festival for the local TV Station. In side a very impressive Cathederale with a long hostory going back to Louis XIV, maybe not as decorative as some cathederales we have visited but it was worth a visit if only to find your wayin through the double door entrance!!
