Thank you for your kind review. I am sorry that it has taken so long for us to respond to it but we are a small band of volunteers who run trains on the CFTV and most of us speak only French! As you say the trip is a very pleasant journey through the French countryside. I am pleased that you enjoyed it. I am afraid that it has to be as long as it is because there is no means of watering and running round the train other than at Origny. In addition to the Sunday trains during high summer there are numerous events and specials throughout the year. Details of these may be found (in French) on www.cftv.fr

we wilden opstappen een half uurtje na st.quentin in mézières sur oise,was moeilijk te vinden zonder straatnaam want we kwamen vanaf andere richting en stonden al te wachten bij ander station nl sèry les mézières ,was geen opstapplaats maar uitzonderlijk stopte ze wel omdat ik duidelijk aangaf mee te willen en we het andere station niet hadden kunnen vinden dit lag net buiten mézières sur oise.de rit was nu een uur korter maar toch nog heel leuk,hij stopte na 35 minuten ,daar een stop van een 40 minuten buiten of in de trein[geen cafetaria ofzo dus neem wat mee] leuke foto's gemaakt van kolen vullen,water vullen,wisselen locomotief en rijtuigen.het kaartje gelukkig nog in de trein kunnen kopen.vanaf st quentin is dat 41.00 voor 2 volwassen en 2 kids,vanaf mézieres 29.00 eu [1 uur korter]aardige mensen en was erg aangenaam want in onze frankrijkweek alleen deze zondag de kans ervoor.
