You have to pass by la Source de Loue if you have the chance to! It's a lovely place for a nice walk in the middle of nature ;-)

This area is a mere 2 hour drive from Geneva. The scenery is gorgeous. Mountains with bare faced cliffs alternate with green meadows. The Loue River has several lovely towns on its banks. Among them is Lods which is on France's list of Most Brautiful Villages. Another town worth stopping at is Ornans, where the famous painter, Gustave Courbet, was from. The area is picturesque. I can understand why a painter would be inspired by it.

Not the prettiest source in the area (in my opinion the three-for-one falls at the source de Lisson is prettier) but it is quite a spectacle. There is a cafe and tourist shop at the car park at the top of a short walk down to the hole in the cliff and the hydroelectric complex (not used either shop so can't comment). This was our second visit here in 4 years, as we wanted to see it again after heavy rain. Definitely worth travelling out to see. And there is the lovely octagonal Chapel des Anges on the hill above the road into the source.

We had seen paintings of the Source by Courbet and thought maybe he had exaggerated the 'mystery' of this place but that was not the case. After about a 20 minute walk, downhill, you reach the Source which is a waterfall with a huge rockface hanging over it. It's quite impressive and you can see how it would have inspired artists over the years. There is a small restaurant at the top of the hill but it's fun to picnic right down by the water. A great place to visit on a summer day, especially if you combine with a visit to the Chateau de Joux.

La ballade , effectuée en bateau, est très romantique. Magnifiques couleurs d'automne. Les chutes, situées dans la forêt, sont impressionnantes .

Belle ballade près d'Ouhans avec la Source de la Loue malgré des conditions atmosphériques plutôt moyennes. Possibilité d'effectuer d'autres superbes ballades dans le coin (de Saules et 'Ornans à Ouhans via Lods, Mouthier-Haute-Pierre, Renédale) avec des grottes, des cascades.

Grosse randonnée VTT (64km).Organisation un peu à revoir (itinéraire mal fléché au départ )mais qui s'améliorera avec les années.Les ravitaillements sont bien positionnés et les personnes sont vraiment sympa.Dommage que cette année, la course a due être écourté pour cause de violents orages !

adembenemend natuur gebeuren,, vooral als er veel water is tijdens of na regenbuien. Is wel vrij ver weg maar hier geldt wat je ver haalt is lekker

Ok avec les précédents avis. Vaut le détour. Attention au chemin, certes accessible mais pentu.Ce n'est pas la source la plus poétique mais on voit les restes de ce qui devait être un ancien moulin à eau. D'ailleurs il est indiqué qu'au Moyen-Âge des charrettes empruntaient ce chemin chargées de marchandises. Comptez 40 mn À/R d'un bon pas.

un tres bel endroit à voir, de bonnes balades à faire et de jolies endroits à découvrir, parfait pour le calme.
