You can drink the waters from many different sources under a beautiful arcade, surrounded by elegant windows and decorated ironwork from the era of Napoleon III.

It is worth a visit to see the lovely marble hall where you can taste the water. I tried a cup of water which tasted like Alka Saltzer. Fizzy and salty. I am sure it would be good for a hangover but I did feel full of energy for the rest of the day!

A very pleasant town which has an interesting history – we were very surprised that the place that, prior our visit, had produced memories of France during WWII was in reality one of the first spa locations in France; we even sampled the water from more than one of the five springs. It was unfortunate that our schedule only allowed us to visit for a couple of hours.

Whenever we have visitors come and see us in the region, we make sure that they have the chance to take the waters from the palatable Celestin to the undrinkable sulfur ridden ones like Grille. Always worth visiting.

We were not aware of the waters of Vichy when we arrived on a long driving trip through the area. The building itself on a lovely square park is a bit of a throw back. You can taste one of the waters for free, and the remaining 4 or 5 have a modest fee. How one can swallow this liquid is a mystery but worth the visit if in the area.

There are many locations where the sources can be seen around Vichy and each comes with its own story and history... all worth exploring. This was once a bustling industry, now more of a novelty, but interesting none the less.

One of the must sees of lovely Vichy . Lovely outdoor surroundings and it was great to taste the source of the waters of Vichy.

This was brilliant just to see the kids try the sulphuric water and screw their faces up in disgust.

This is a great place to stop and see the water bubbling up from the ground, try it and be surprised at truly how bad the water tastes all for the sake of a "cure" - But well worth seeing it.

Les bâtiments haussmannien, les thermes, la mairie, ses parcs.... Nous laissent nostalgique.A chaque coin de rue nous attendons de voir une belle dame en crinoline. Mais c'est aussi une ville dynamique et moderne. A visiter sans faute
