I found a wool scarf, knit socks, and several other small items that were easily packed for the trip home. The sellers were not high pressure, so shopping was very relaxed compared to street markets in other parts of the world. They were not willing to bargain much off the prices, but the starting prices were already fairly reasonable. The paintings were mostly rather low quality. I would suggest looking for other types of souvenirs. The sellers started packing up around 5:00 pm on a Tuesday. Arrive around 4:00-4:15 pm to get the best selection and price. Weekends are probably better.

This was a disappointing flea market even though I bought a beautiful hand felted scarf highlighting all the autumn colors just then happening, a beautiful Russian silver spoon engraved on both sides, and a Georgian drinking horn. The atmosphere was mostly a little dreary with a paucity of objects for sale, but I do have a lovely handmade scarf and a charming silver spoon.

It's a must-visit place if you want to feel the local colour to the full. Visit it at weekend, better before 17 (the place gets empty around 19). Just tell the taxi-driver to take you to the Dry Bridge (there's no parking space - so don't take your car there). There you can see a lot of old or even antique things sold right from the sidewalks ground. Bargaining is a must. And watch out for the quality if you really want to buy something for your collection - there are many fake things, so be prepared ;) In the small park nearby there are local oil paintings (bargaining is a must here too). The whole place is within 10 min. walking from Rustaveli ave., so you can combine it all together.

We strolled along he river ,Dry bridge flea market with no intention of buying anything.Well I bought several Limoges dishes, fascinating green glass dish , nd a paintings. I took a guide who speaks Georgian and that helped the prices.Retired on small pensions ,many elderlies sell what they have in a house, some made it a business to sell what tourists may want, jewelry collection ,costume mainly ,old Soviet era memorabilia's,interesting junks and treasures. It stretches out along the river over the bridge, under the bridge and side streets along the small park.I spent hours there and talking to people, taking pics and just enjoying meeting local people.Quality of painting is not a museum quality but some are unique and very interesting. Many are copies of the masters.I recommend this vist over shopping malls.

It is what it is. You won't find there Souvenirs, but may stumble upon some nice antique dagger, stamp or coin collection, or old film camera. Nice opportunity for taking some photos.

It was hot, it was a weekday, and it seemed hard to find as no one in our hotel had heard of it, and getting there proved difficult to communicate to taxi drivers. Once there, it was OK. Some artists exhibiting work, some touristy stalls, and some crafts, but nothing particularly wow that would entice me to go back.

We always visit the Dry Bridge very interesting but you have to know what you are looking for and how much you prepared to pay. It is only worth a visit over weekends

I just returned from a trip to Tbilisi and purchased some old Russian coins and Soviet medals, but after further scrutiny discovered that some of the silver rubles were Chinese counterfeits and one of my medals had a brass star replacement for a gold one that was on the original. My advice to all future buyers is to beware of sellers that are willing to bargain too much, be prepared and bring a book with photos of original antique coins, watches, or whatever antique item you are interested in before you buy anything you may think has value. Unfortunately, I would say the majority of the big sellers deal in fakes, especially at the Saturday market. I always want to give someone a break, but I despise dishonesty. Have fun at the market but as usual, if something seems too good to be true, it ain't!
