The Treasure Room in Palazzo di Lodovico II Moro is contained within the Archaeological museum: when you enter the Archaeological museum it’s the building across and to the right of the entrance. It's about a 20 minute walk from the city center; better by bike. I arrived via bike and brought it into the main, large courtyard and was quickly told by an angry ticket woman to move it…she literally shooed me away! So I moved the bike around the corner to the gate where I could lock it, again the woman came out yelling to move it! Unbelievable, especially because there are lots of bikes parked just through the archway; but guess its employee bike parking only! Grumpy ticket takers!The Treasure Hall was originally thought to be a music room or a library and looks out to the garden and is actually a part of Costabili Palace decorated by the painter Benvenuto Tisi. It’s been extensively restored. The very extraordinary perspective of the ceiling painting is truly amazing and I really enjoyed it, but wished there had been more information about it in English. I had recently been to Mantua and enjoyed seeing some of Mantegna’s paintings (several were closed b/c of the May 2012 earthquake) so seeing the Treasure Hall was especially wonderful.

The courtyard and garden are treats, but the overwhelming jewel is the series of frescoes in the ceiling of the Treasure Room. Vibrant, living, enigmatic.

This museum is well worth visiting. It has the perfect combination of attractions with well displayed exhibits set in a beautiful, ancient building. It is not so big as to be overwhelming and many of the exhibit explanations are translated into English. The jewelry exhibit alone is worth seeing as it is stunningly presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. The town of Palazzo is also fun to explore which makes this a great side trip!

The Etruscan pottery comes from the excavation in Spina, near Ferrara.The Palace is beautiful.It was totally empty when I went, I was the only visitor. It was amazing to walk through the rooms completely undisturbed.

Questo palazzo definito "di Ludovico il Moro" e' la sede di un bel museo che contiene pregevoli reperti provenienti dall'antica citta' di Spina, come una serie infinita di vasi greci ed etruschi, una importante serie di vetri e una sorprendente collezione di ori e gioielli. Il cortile d'onore non completato e' un bellissimo esempio di architettura rinascimentale e notevole e' anche lo scalone che porta al piano nobile. Da non perdere la Sala del Tesoro con un bellissimo affresco del Garofalo e il piccolo ma delizioso giardino all'italiana. Da vedere sicuramente.

Дворец красивейший! Нам еще очень повезло - мы попали на фестиваль уличной музыки! Это было что-то! Вечерняя Феррара с ее дворцами - незабываемое зрелище! Очень советуем прийти к этому Палаццо вечером - впечатления совершенно фантастические!

Museo molto interessante sulla storia di Ferrara e non solo. Il palazzo è molto bello, al suo interno organizzano anche concerti classici. Bello il cortile e l'atmosfera in generale.

Il palazzo merita sicuramente una visita, soprattutto per la ricchezza delle sue sale. La più interessante è la sala del Tesoro, ricca di campioni ritrovati nelle valli di Comacchio che ripercorrono la storia dell'antica città etrusca di Spina. Anfore, arredi tombali, candelabri costituiscono piccoli capolavori della poco conosciuta civiltà dell'Etruria. Interessante, dopo l'attraversamento del bel cortile del palazzo, anche la sala delle imbarcazioni, che ospita in esposizione due maestose barche.....
