The museum, just few meters from the famous Comacchio bridge is small but the contents are amazing. Thanks to the mud, all the vessels contents have been incredibbly well preserved, so it is possible to see shoes and other leather artifacts which are really super rare to see anywhere else. Also, the six small lead-made altars are absolutely unique. It is magic.

This museum is very unassuming but worth a visit to understand what has been recovered from a boat found in the canal dating back to Roman times. There is an interesting video/film that accompanies the tour.

Piccolo ma interessante museo sito in pieno centro, proprio lungo il canale principale che passa sotto il noto Trepponti. Venne inaugurato nel 2001 ed è dedicato ad una nave romana (e al carico in essa contenuto) che venne rinvenuta accidentalmente nel 1981 in località Valle Ponti, nei pressi di Comacchio. Si sviluppa su due piani e consente di ammirare oggetti di vario tipo molto ben conservati, dal vasellame ai piatti passando per borse in pelle e strumentazione di bordo. Consiglio di iniziare proprio dal piano superiore dove, presso un'apposita aula video, è possibile vedere un filmato introduttivo molto ben realizzato che ricostruisce e contestualizza la storia della nave e dello stesso museo. Il biglietto d'ingresso costa 4,50 euro (e non sono previste riduzioni per studenti, ma esenzioni per i militari si...NO COMMENT...), non pochi in rapporto ad altri siti museali. Come hanno fatto giustamente notare altri utenti è effettivamente un peccato che la nave non sia esposta. Al di là di questo comunque lo CONSIGLIO sicuramente.

Il museo si trova in pieno centro storico di Comacchio ed è uniconel suo genere con una buona ambientazione e una descrizione storica apprezzabile.Lo si potrebbe valorizzare ulteriormente dando la possibilità di vedere dal vivo anche i resti della nave.

Вот так жили-поживали жители прелестного городка Комаккио на побережье Адриатики и не знали, что практически в центре города, под городской площадью лежит древнеримская галея, пока не начали каких-то коммунальных работ в 1981 году.Таинственность и уникальность этого открытия, которому посвящен центральный музей Комаккио в том, что галея обнаружена в полнейшей комплектации - все снасти, такелаж, вооружения и даже забитые товаром трюмы - одних амфор и сосудов более 100 штук.При этом никаких останков или следов экипажа, за исключением оставленных на борту предметов одежды и обуви.Часть товаров имеет клеймо римского проконсула в Британии того времени.Что случилось и почему корабль затонул целиком и в полной целости и сохранности и куда делся экипаж - еще одна загадка истории, которыми полнится этот край Древнеримской, а позднее остготской империи.

Bellissimo visitare questo piccolo museo, si è catapultati indietro fdi 2000 anni. Reperti interessantissimi, peccato che la nave non sia visibile

Ben collocato e materiale interessante quello ritrovato sulla barca affondata 2000 anni fa nella zona.Adesso siamo in attesa che ci facciano vedere anche la barca che si trova nei locali adiacenti al museo e non ancora visitabili,chissà perchè?
