Venetian Castle，位于小镇中心，被很多白房子包围着。它有着久远的历史，同样也是大理石建造，现在只剩下一些古迹。

If you go to Kythera, you have to go to Chora, the prettiest village on the island. The castle is short walk from the main square. The views are spectacular, and worth the walk, even to these out-of-shape legs. Bring your own water and make the trip early in the day. The gates close at 3. There are no guides or even much information about the castle, and the churches are closed, but that view....

The Venetian castle is located at the highest point of chora. You can easily walk till there. The castle is full of churches and different ruins, the view around is amazing and you can also visit a small gallery about the venetian era. Walk till there, take your time and relax. The woman at the gallery was really kind but after a small talk with her i was shocked by her nationalistic and conservative opinions. Ignore her and enjoy this amazing place.

Great view of the bay of Kapsali. It is nice to walk through the ruins, unfortunately there are no information about the castle and how it was in the past. There are little nice churches, but closed.

Great views of the area, Antikythira, Chora. You might even figure out how to get to Sparagario Beach when noone is there!

The views from the castle are breathtaking. However, overall there's not really much to see. I would suggest you go late in the afternoon to avoid the strong sun

Just perfect. The beach under the cathedral is called capsali, after visiting the famous monuments we went there for a swim and saw a turtle it was great fun.

Of course, if you are in Chora, you visit the castle. A very nice view from above the town. But, unfortunately, no more - no sights, no exhibition.

You can easily walk to the castle from the town. Try to be there just before sunset as the view is brilliant, but maybe take a torch/flashlight because the path up is uneven, with loose pebbles.

This castle offers you a great view at the open sea and also to Chora and Kapsali. You can go there on foot from Chora.
