We had a long walk in a beautiful landscape where water, nature and the remains of old civilization really impressed us. Highly suggested

The Neraida falls was lovely, if dank and drear to Midwesterners. I could see how much better it would be in early Spring with more water running and escaping the heat. There was a trail that let inland which we followed for a while, but not being sure which direction it was leading nor how long it would take we gave up and went back for more info, which, speaking to a number of locals and trying to read all the signs was still a mixed message. The walk is variously 40 minutes to 2 hours and is rated M41 if I remember correctly. Certainly no strollers or canes--the sure footers will enjoy this if they want some exercise.

Long but nice walk to the springs. It's very easy to get lost on the tracks though and not get to the springs.

Beautiful, must see in Kythira. Beautiful walk in late afternoon/towards evening. Walk through forest, along river, pass by water mills, ponds, paradise garden with exotic plants, wild gorge, waterfalls... Definitely recommend to visit!

A great experience you HAVE to leave!! Wear a pair of tracking shoes and follow the path! Jump in the last waterfall (if you dare)!!

Go and explore the water mills trail! Use a map. The water holes are a treat in the heat of the day!

I loved my time on Kythira!! I have always wanted to swim under a waterfall and had the most amazing time swimming here. It was ice cold but the water coming off the fall was nice and warm. The place is so lovely, green and secluded. We were lucky enough to share with only two other people so it was as if we had the falls all to ourselves. Highly recommend stopping in town for lunch as well, great local food and shopping - fabulous local artist as well.

Exactly what you wouldn't have expected from an island like Kithira. If you like some trekking and generally being close to nature that's your place. The mills are surrounded with beautiful trees and colorful flowers and the small paths are leading you to the biggest attraction of Milopotamos (and maybe Kithira) the Fairy Waterfall.

Even if you don't like hiking (like me), you can very much appreciate the first waterfall (called the Fairy waterfall) - it's about a 2-5 minute walk from the car park, and it's still completely out of this world.Truly unexpected, a very pleasant surprise!

Excellent, the water was cold but it was still good to have a swim after that tiring yet beautiful hike. :D we just loved it
