If you are an ancient history buff, this place is for you. The oldest artifact I saw was a complete vase dated 980BC. We were there in the off-season, so the internal cafeteria was closed, but still worth the 4Euro entry.

Place is huge with many exhibits to see. Would highly recommend if you are into history although the kids might not enjoy it so much!

Atmospheric loved all the buildings in the Old Town, especially where the Knight's had lived. Loved Rhodes and its people, found nothing to dislike....

If you've had your fill of broken statues, cracked pots and painted vases you probably won't find anything new here to whet your appetite. However, the museum is in a lovely old building including a pretty garden and contains finds from the Minoan to the Ottoman and has excellent signage throughout. A good way to spend an hour or more. Entry fee is €6.

Being an avid reader of the Knights Templar and history in general this was a fascinating place to visit. We hired a car especially to visit the port and Old Town and the hour drive from our hotel was well worth it. The building is well preserved and carefully restored and it feels like you are stepping back in time or somehow you have walked in to the setting of Assassins Creed. There are amazing mosaic floors with incredible detailing, ancient artifacts, statues so so much to see and wonder at. The building despite the heat was so soothing, peaceful and the essence of tanquillity. There is a beautiful garden within the building and the smell of fresh herbs as you stroll around makes you feel like you have stepped in to another ancient world.

I will never forget the lovely little statue of Aphrodite bathing . I think it is my favourite greek work of art and we have been to many Greek museums. She is so delicate and life like. The whole museum was well set out and very interesting.

I enjoyed the artifacts but what blew me away was the hospital itself. It still has an atmosphere of deep peace and calm even though the Knights Hospitallers left centuries ago.

The archaeological displays are fine, but the thing we really enjoyed was the building itself. Don't miss the gardens and the house in the corner

Went to Rhodes museum which was absolutely fantastic, cannot describe the exhilaration of being inside the museum. Seeing where the knights lived and saw some of the tomb stones which are lovely.
