We went in the winter so we didn't get the full beach experience, but seeing the ruins among the trees and the three small bays was stunning. We understand there was some sort of entrance fee, but we have a Muzecart so we went in for free. There is ample parking and a small snack bar selling the usual tea and toast sandwiches. You can experience the whole site in less than two hours so don't hesistate to stop when you see the brown sign as you drive on the coastal highway.

Historical. Ruins. Really nice place. Open from 9-17. Costs 10 tl per adult. Kids free. Toilets and a small shop for souvenirs and drinks. This place was an ancient Greek and Roman city on the coast of Lycia. Its ruins are located north of the modern town Tekirova in the Kemer district of Antalya Province in Turkey. Situated about 16 km south from Kemer. The town was set up around 700 BC.

Great antique city ruins well preserved, you could also swim both end of the city ruins and the harbour. A must see area with natural beauty

what a place to have had a home! Mountains behind and beautiful promontory with beach around you so several natural harbours for trade. Enough to encourage a large city that survived centuries. Now an exceptionally beautiful site, not much to see apart from the ruins of the aqueduct as you arrive, the long road through and a very ruined small ampitheatre - nature and time have conquered again but in a very lovely way.

If in Olympos you must visit the ruined city of 2/3 BC. It is an amazing preserved history of Byzantine times and wealth. The 5TL entry fee is good value, and following the path to it's end takes you to the beautiful beach.

First of all, you can easily reach Phaselis by public transport. There is an Antalya-Tekerova bus which will leave you close to the entrance. Second of all, the ruins are spread over a larger area than I imagined and the way nature is cohabiting with them is absolutely beautiful. We sunbathed and swam on all three harbours and this is the final opinion:North Harbour: has a beach with very large pebbles, clear water, ruins underwater, therefore a wonderful snorkling experience. Be careful though, I cut my toe in the ruin stones while swimming.Central Harbour: has a beach with small pebbles, clear, shallow waters for a vast area. It was my best snorkling experience. You can see lots of fish, seaweed and other underwater beauties.South Harbour: has longer, dark-sand beach, water is not that clear because of the sand and the stronger winds. But the view is absolutely gorgeous: Mount Tahtali on the right and The three islands on the left.Extra: there are showers and bathrooms next to the south harbour. There are a few small shops but you should pack some sandwiches if you plan to stay the whole day.

Our family of four were staying at the nearby Canada Hotel and enjoyed a day of touring the ruins that included the well-preserved ampitheatre, lots of buildings and aqueduct and then headed to the beach for a few hours. It's a rocky beach, so bring water shoes.

Just spent a morning at Phaselis, a quiet, secluded ruined port from the days of before the Romans. Various structures still survive. A 3000 seat amphitheater, an old aqueduct, the city walls, and a few scattered houses and agoras, all nestled in a beautifully cool, quiet forest.Try to get here before the crowds, and avoid the furthermost beach, which attracts the various 'pirate boats' from Kemur.Loved it.

This is a must if you are in the area, especially if you are a History enthusiast like myself. The views are extraordinary and the ruins and breath taking. Will definitely be returning if I visit Camyuva again. Make sure you take lots of water as it is so hot up there!!
