What a quirky little find, with artist on site who was very keen for a chat despite the language barrier. He was truly passionate about art and his array of collections, you would swear it was his first day at work, nice to see the respect shown by visitors as is a hands on experience with no off limit areas.

This was just down from my hotel - and free although contributions to the upkeep can be put in an old postbox. The artist specialises in painting heritage buildings and the town gave him this old pump house which he spends his time restoring and enhancing. It contains an eclectic mix of fascinating stuff.

A curious mixture of the ordinary and the not so ordinary complete with the creator/curator in residence. Not sure it qualifies as extent a museum or an art gallery but it certainly provokes comment !

Just Happened on this looking through Trip Adviser! I'm glad we did. Dark and dismal day so this was a good option. The artist is there to chat to and he explains how his museum has 'evolved'. The place is crammed with artistic statements and exhibits and is still growing and changing day by day. Contribution is voluntary, which is not that common in Chile! Well worth a visit

This is a bit quaint but really is just one person's collection of old junk and is not really worth visiting. The exterior is the most interesting part of it.

This museum is in a house that seems to be in the process of expansion and is located across the street from the lake. The collection consists of odds and ends that the owner, an artist, has collected over the years. The items are displayed in a haphazard fashion on the walls, floors and ceilings. I assume Pablo Fierro is usually present, and we were able to purchase a piece of original artwork from him. He told us about his collection and is a very nice man. The visit is worth the price of admission--which is free.

I stopped at Pablo's museum as I was strolling along the lakefront. The rambling house is filled from floor to ceiling with quirky items collected by Pablo and with paintings that he has created. I loved spending a couple of hours exploring the trinkets and treasures that were tucked into every nook and cranny.

Probably the most unusual museum I have ever visited. A ramshackle seaside house contains a collection of paintings by Pable Fierro as well a seemingly random accumulation of objects he has found or purchased. Pablo feels that his mission in life is to emphasize the role of art in our everyday activities. Apparently he teaches art and is an inspiration for local students. He is talkative and quite sincere. Entry is without charge, although the museum accepts contributions. The walk along the waterfront is very pleasant and visiting the museum is an interesting stop.

We noticed this museum during a walk along the lakeside. It's an eclectic building with murals on the side wall, all sorts of collectibles nailed to the front, a bright yellow Citroen parked half in-half out of the garage. Pablo greeted us at the door, gave us a quick overview of the museum, and then encouraged us to take our time and explore. The museum is packed to the rafters with his art, antiques, thank-you notes from schoolchildren, and anything else he finds interesting. We really enjoyed our time there!
