I have walked along various portions of the trail because I live in Fort Langley. The whole trail would be excellent for a part day trip but smaller portions are good for whatever amount of time you want to spend. The portion I walk along most often is from Glover Road in Fort Langley and west past the Fort Langley Golf Club to Allard Crescent and then back. The portion of the trail that starts at Glover goes along the Bedford Landing community and the Bedford Channel. This is the most travelled part of the trail that I use. On sunny days, there will be plenty of walkers, bike riders and dog walkers. Even when it is relatively busy, there is still plenty of room. For little children, watch for the bikes and dogs off leashes. There are signs illustrating the history of the area. There are benches to rest. There are piers to walk out on for a different view. As you leave the Bedford Landing portion, there will be fewer people and more peace. You might see bunnies running across the path. In the water, you can see river otters and fish jumping. There are a couple of pleasant sitting areas. After being along the waterfront, you go further into the forest. Even though you only walked a short distance, you feel like you are in the wilderness. At the end of this section, there is a bathroom. If you are adventurous, there are some other off shoots of the main path. Those who live here like to think about these hidden gems as our private sanctuary so I won't give you all the details. But they are there. Once you are done, and back at the Glover end of the trail, stop at the Lelem Arts and Culture Café for a snack and rest.

A really pleasant trail along the Fraser River, with a good variety of different scenic categories. The only bit that we don't like much is the section along the roadside for about a kilometer. The rest is great! We like to combine it with a walk around the adjacent Houston Trail, a circular trail around a nearby knoll. The gradients are reasonable, with only a very few short steepish sections. There's a washroom at the half-way point. Plenty of places to get refreshment and do a little shopping once you arrive in Fort Langley itself. Overall, a great trail on which to get some outdoor exercise!

An easy walk from downtown Fort Langley to the HBC Fort Carin. Lovely views of the Fraser River, meadows, and thickets. Expect to see some lovely homes, quaint roads, and a lot of small wildlife. Read all the informational posts - a fascinating look at the region's history.

On a very hot day in late August my son and I decided to cycle the Fort to Fort Trail...Starting in Fort Langley we initially couldnt find the trail but after asking directions soon found ourselves cycling along the Fraser River. I must say it way very scenic and for the most part pretty flat and during our trip not overly crowded. We got lost again about half way point where you go through a camp gound and the signage sort of disappears but we soon got on track...for nearly all the way its off road which is great if you have kids and like I said it was very scenic ...the only problem was when we camp to the end off the off road at 208st the signage just totally diappeared and being from out of town we turned around and went back ...that was a bit of an anticlimax really so we didnt get to Golden Ears Way although I not sure what we actally missed had we cycled there and off course this last section is all on road possibly. Verdict, it was a most enjoyable ride and good morning excercise, would we do it again absolutely.

Starting out in Fort Langley you take this trail to the original site of Fort Langley which is a few km away. It makes for a great walk / run / biking session as the trail is wide and undulates. There are great river views to be seen along the way. When you are in Fort Langley check out Wendel's Bookstore and Cafe or The Fort Pub and Grill as both are great eateries.

Start in downtown Fort Langley and meander along the trail on foot or by bike. Easy grades for all ages. Many scenic stops along the way and benches to rest upon. 5.3 KM each way so go as short or as far as you'd like. (As this is the first TripAdvisor review I could not submit photos.)
