My friend and I went for a drive in the countryside around Waterloo and were pleasantly treated to a view of this little town and its covered bridge. It is well worth the trip to see it.

Nobody else seems to tell people how to find it; some suggest it's well hidden. Well, it's not, and it IS definitely worth a visit if you are near Elmira, Ontario. It's one minute off the highway between Guelph and Elmira, ON (County Road 86). You can map it re: location: Covered Bridge Drive, West Montrose, ON N0B 2V0. If you are in the area, it's worth driving into West Montrose...

While my husband was working in Waterloo, I took the kiddos on a few sites in the area. They enjoyed a quick visit to the bridge and quick read of the historic signs.

This is a historical covered bridge. I grew up in the immediate area so have been there many times. I have taken visiting friends and relatives there on occasion, There is not much to see but well worth a short stop on the way to Elora from Waterloo.

The whole area between St Jacobs and Elora/Fergus is beautiful country to drive through, and get out and take it all in. The bridge is historic but otherwise nothing special, but it's worth a drive in the area.

We took a drive out here one evening. Its very cute, and quite romantic to watch the horse carriages stroll through. I would have liked to come when it was warmer though.

This is a historical covered bridge. I have been to it several times and have taken relatives there on occasion, but I live in the area. Other than that there isn't much else to see here. If you are at St. Jacobs Market or visiting the area and you are passing by, I'd stop, but I wouldn't make a special trip just to see it.

if you have not seen a covered bridge before, go there, else it is not to scenic anymore. being able to drive through it is cool.

Last standing covered bridge in Ontario! Great stop on scenic afternoon drive. Think they used this bridge in the Ford Canada truck commercial (which is possibly why the sign you may see about professional photos is posted).

They dont make them like this anymore. A bit out of the way but good direction signage will get you there.
