Was here with my son we were looking at the locomotive from behind the tape or line whatever you might want to call it and the owner was busy chatting with another man when we were rudely told the museum was closed and to stay away from the display way to embrace visitors and children. Poor service I hate when you are shopping and the follow you around like your a common their would NOT go back .

Our family had a wonderful time at the Horseless Carriage Museum. Our two daughters and their boyfriends (all in their 20s) came with us and we all enjoyed ourselves enormously. The owner was so knowledgeable and was happy to share his knowledge with us. We were able to try out various musical artefacts and even had our picture taken in an antique REO! It was fascinating to all of us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this museum to anyone. It is different from other museums as it is personal and you are able to really experience the various tools, machines and cars. Don't miss a great opportunity.

Our family was visiting the Fenelon Falls area for the week and while the Dads were away golfing we took the kids to the horseless carriage museum. We showed up unannounced and they were generous enough to take us on an unscheduled tour, and we are grateful they did, we wouldn't have wanted to miss this place. What we found was an unexpected delight all nestled in a small barn! So many wonderful pieces of all kinds! As a music major, I absolutely loved the music machines and look forward to news on how their newest piece works once it is up and running! Once we got home we thought we might have to takes our Dads back the next day we enjoyed it so much! I strongly recommend booking a tour.

My family and I were visiting from the States and decided to venture out to the Horseless Carriage Museum. We were quite thrilled, it's well worth your time. It was a walk through history with breathtaking, real life items close enough to touch! It was so facinating and wonderful and the owners are not only knowledgeable but friendly as well. It is a very personal look at history that is engaging for all ages. Our group included some teenagers who were also engaged the entire time. Small children over the age of five years of age will love it. If your family loves history or even if you are not sure, please don't miss this attraction. You won't find this type of collection anywhere else in the world. Some of the oldest museums in North America do not have these items. It's the best attraction in Fenelon Falls!

We had opportunity today to visit our own local Horseless Carriage Museum. It is more than a museum. The owner gives his personal story of his collection including two bicycles that are were first used in the local area, one being the first "Dodge" and the other sporting wooden handles. He shares his finds and the history of every item. His passion comes through in his dialogue and he answered every question we asked. It is a joy to hear the saved pieces of history of Canada and listen to the first music boxes. I encourage you to visit their website for more incites into their collections and I suggest that anyone who loves history and old collections will not want to miss visiting this museum. Also for those who love hand made quilts and knitting and sticker his wife stocks beautiful items that are for sale. Thank you to the owners for saving our Canadian past and local history. We will be back.

What a spectacular place this is. I was trying to arrange a ride for our motorcycle group, the York Region Harley Owners Group (YRHOG), and was looking for an unusual, but interesting location to take everyone to. On searching the area of Fenelon Falls I found the Horseless Carriage Museum website, and was immediately interested. I contact the Bennett's and although we were going to be travelling before their regular opening date for the season (May 24th weekend is normal), the Bennett's said they would try their best to be open for us, the crappy weather we've been having this winter being the only factor. Well they pulled it off, and 20 of us arrived for the best tour of one of the best museums I've been to. An hour didn't really do the place justice, I could spend hours there and I'm sure Mr. Bennett could spend hours talking about all the items they've collected over the years, we hardly scratched the surface I'm sure. If you know you are going to be in the area call ahead and stop in for the tour, you will not be disappointed, all 20 of us were truly amazed at the collection, thank you again Mr. and Mrs. Bennett for the afternoon. Also don't forget to shop at the Olde Tyme General store on site for all homemade goodies and gifts. I for one will be back to be able to spend a little more time there.

This place is pretty cool. The owner is extremely knowledgeable on local and Canadian history. They are collectors that take thier business seriously. The collection that is ousted in Thier barn is large enough to fill a much larger viewing area. It is really neat that you can touch and feel everything and get the hands on experience. Defiantly worth a visit!

What a great time was had on this long weekend when I came across the Horseless Carriage Museum just between Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls.. This family run museum offers a wide diversity and variety of various displays within the building. You have you very own tour guided by the owners that show there true passion behind saving these historic items that may have been lost if not for their conscious effort to preserve Canadian historyObjects range from early transportation era like the Sawyer & Massey traction steam engine, a Stanley Steam car and to a Penny Farthing bicycle. There is a large collection of music boxes that sound wonderful to the ear. There also is a general store that offers handmade crafts, local preserves, honey and maple syrup. So I did not leave empty handed, but full of goodies and some Canadian History along with it.I will definitely will make a return visit to the Horseless Carriage Museum just to see what is new and also try and see what I have missed in the first visit. Thanks again to the Bennett family for the enjoyable time spent seeing into the past.
