We stopped by with our tour group for a short dance performance. Nice music, but pretty much tourista stop.

super groups, good shows and performances, good vibrations by locals and foreigners, you must dance and not sit quietly on your chair

During the day the dancers perform mainly for tour groups who seem to be encouraged to buy drinks by their guides. The dancing was fun, but nothing spectacular and of course some tourists are 'forced' to join in. Each dancer ame round with the hat and their CD.

We've been to this place everyday we're in Trinidad. It's only 1 cuc to enter during the night and the performance there are really, really good. The best one was a yoruba performance, with drums, dance and songs in yoruba for the orishas. If you have no idea about santeria or candomble or orishas, study it a bit before going there. If you like afro cuban culture or afro culture in general, it's must go. Also, drinks are cheap and ok.

We stepped in anticipating enjoying a local band and of course siome cocktails, but the place was soo noisy we dediced to leave after a few minutes. A pity because the setting is good. Guess we were unlucky that evening

Trinidad, alongside with Santiago de Cuba, is one of the finest places to listen to real Cuban music. The three most famous and bustling places are "Casa de la Trova", "Casa de la Música" and this venue.Unfortunately this place is not as lively as the others. The location as well is by far not as impressive as the other places. I spent five days in Trinidad, passing by most of the nights to have a look, and most of the nights it was deadly empty. The only night I went in it was pouring down really hard and the live performance had to be suspended because of leaking water... Just my luck!Since Trinidad is very small and this place in in the middle of the city center, you will probably stumble upon it. Fine to have just one drink before heading to other places to listen to more music...

Bar is horrible,canchanchara was awful,spectacle was ok,but environment was not of my liking ,ok if you want to see old Africa dancing and tradition

We went here whilst touring cuba.The music and atmosphere was absolutely amazing.The staff were friendly and helpful and my husband even got up and danced to traditional Cuban music.Also because they didn't have diet drink they welcomed me to drink my own by giving me glasses and ice.We must of spent over an hour just enjoying the atmosphere and music.

We spent an hour there and we enjoyed the performance.Service was good and the drinks also.After visitingthe old city it was nice to come there and relax while watching the musicians and dancers.

If you are interested in music and the African Cuban heritage then this is worth a try. Our guide told us they have Afro-Cuban music most nights around 10pm and when we arrived a salsa group was just finishing. The follow up was genuinely African with drums and dancing similar to what I am familiar with from west Africa. An entertaining hour or so and well worth the $1 entrance fee! The "boy band" that followed wasn't so good but never mind.
