Like anywhere, sometimes the music is great, and sometimes not so much. The whole atmosphere is great though! It's the centre of the universe come nightfall.Sometimes admission is charged ($1), but not always. Drinks are not that cheap either. Buy drinks across the street from the bottom of the stairs (during the day it's a small crafts shop..at night they set up a mini walk-up bar)! Half the price (1.50 mojito).

For $2, you absolutely cannot beat this entertainment. There is drumming and dancing, all done to a high standard. Go early enough to get yourself a comfy white plastic chair - you'll enjoy the performance even more.

Fun place for drinks and watch bands rehearse (afternoon) and shows at night. Located just a few minutes from the Plaza Mayor.

The African influence in the Cuban music scene is pretty upbeat and has a character of its own. I loved the high energy dance performances and the cool laid back vibe of the place. The staff and the seating arrangements could be better.

Really enjoyed this show that was based on the culture of the African slaves who later settled Cuba. Some high quality dancing and performance with epic African beats and singing. Still listening to the CD of the show now!
