Took the ferry from Skagway to Haines and back and what an awesome adventure. Enjoyed the captain of the boot and the other workers very friendly. Will be visiting again in July with my parents and will again take the ferry. The wild life and scenery along the river what just breath taking so much to look at.

"Fast" ferry - hmmm, I don't think so. Very entertaining guide/singer showing us mountains, waterfalls, etc. Very relaxing and beautiful.. Double decker ferry and seating also available on outside deck. We also saw a Golden Eagle..

We took the fast ferry from Haines, where our ship docked, to Skagway, where we went on the White Pass Yukon Line Rail excursion. The Ferry is very efficient, very smooth ride, with with knowledgeable guides to give you commentary on the area and entertain you across the water. We had Adam to guide us going to Skagway, and The Character (sorry, I missed his name) on the return trip. The Character sang to us, recited poems, made up some rhymes and also sang in Tlingit. The Huna Tlingit is the. Native tribe of Glacier Bay, Alaska. Was a very enjoyable ferry ride. Also saw some Bald Eagles.

The Fast Ferry is a fun way to travel from Skagway to Haines. My husband and I enjoyed the 45 minute trip across the water, and we saw some delightful sights also

Haines has been a very natural place for us as a seafarer. brought by the Holland America Lines Cruise ship. we have passed to this place an stayed for almost a day. have not much places to visit except to the local library and some tours that has been provided by the local agencies. walking up north, you can find their biggest supermarket. the fun in here as me as an Asian, i did witness the glaciers by the beach whereas, it is already starts to melt. also, if you would be that lucky, grizzly bears are on sights, all you have to do is be aware. lot of fisherman here for it is their way of leaving.
