A friend and myself visited the museum to see a current exhibit "Photography as Art" and were not disappointed. Two local photographers had some wonderful photography on exhibit.The real treasure there is the former Mayor of Newburgh, Donald Presutti. He toured us through the museum and was so knowledgeable about the contents and quizzed us on our knowledge as well. A lovely experience! How wonderful for him to share all he knows in his retirement. Put this on your to do list!!PS~ Sent an an email requesting info & had an almost immediate reply from Lisa - impressive!

Staff was wonderful and helpful and showed us some great memorabilia. We were less than impressed with the current exhibit; had been there years back when it had a better (we thought) exhibit but the permanent collection on display, while small, is worthwhile viewing.

This museum and library is very nice to visit. However as a professional museum site it is lacking as most of the items are reproductions and not originals. The art displays are pretty installations that are on poster board display racks. Great use of an existing building in a community that needs culture!
