Easy parking possibilities, easy directions. The displays for the kids at the top floor at very educational, although some were broken. The expo in the lower floor are more for the grownups, with geology and history. The 12min film is very good. The things I missed were more technical views, like drawings and cuts or views from the generator room (I'm an engineer geek).

When viewing the falls form the American side or from the Canadian side, you can't help but thinking of hydro-power. Here the story of capturing the power of the river is told. There is no charge for visiting the site, which is housed in a beautiful, modern building. I recommend this for adults and for kids. There are many hands on exhibits for kids. There is a nice, detailed short film downstairs that tells the story of the building of the power plant.During construction twenty workers died (I don't remember them mentioning that in the film). This is a short ans scenic drive up the Robert Moses Parkway from Niagara Falls, NY. After seeing the plant, read Robert Caro's book, "The Power Broker" about Robert Moses.

Geeks like me will really love it. Pretty propaganda heavy. Great displays and wonderful explanations. Good views for photos.

There are a lot of interactive displays for kids (and adults). My favorites are the 3-D map of the area that discusses how water is used for power. Second is the movie that gives some of the history of Niagara Falls power and building the power project. Plan to spend at least an hour here.

Everything was going great until they turned off the power at the Power Station which caused us to not be able to view any of the interactive exhibits. Other than that, it is FREE and it would be great for kids. You can also go out on an observation deck overlooking the Niagara River. It was pretty cool.

Lots of educational, interactive exhibits for kids. A great, large observation deck to view the power station and the Niagara River. And the best part? It's FREE!

I was there with my 3 grandchildren: 8, 5 and 3. There are a lot of "hands on" exhibits. The kids loved it. Even the short movie about the construction of the power plant held their interest. And I learned a lot too!

Very interesting place to visit, and how can you beat the price? (FREE!) The attendant recommended the movie to me, and I think its a great starting point for your visit. It is SO GREAT that they shot all the film footage when this was being built, and the movie is very interesting, informative, and not too long so that even the kiddos probably won't get too restless. Considering the short distance that this is from the falls, it is well-worth the visit and it has some pretty spectacular views too!

We really enjoyed the free self-guided tour of the power station. It's about 3-4 miles from Niagara Falls, and perfect if you're tired of all the crowds. You enter through a large lobby, go up an escalator and then walk across a long indoor bridge that crosses the highway to get to the visitor center. There are exhibits on electricity, an overview of the entire Niagara area in terms of power generation, a movie, and displays about the history of the area and building of the power station. It is really interesting, and there are things to appeal to both adults and kids.

Easy to get to and free this is a great place to spend an hour. There are lots of hands on things for the kids to do and they learn with out even knowing it. The staff are very friendly and seemed to truly enjoy the visitors. It was fun walking over the Robert Moses parkway and looking down at the cars going by. It was also nice looking at the Niagara river form the vista.
