I was never a wine drinker until I came to heritage for a tasting event. Wow was I impressed! I love the Jersey red, sugar plum wine, and blueberry wine. They offer apple, peach, and many other classics. I always bring a few bottles of heritage wine to holiday events. Sure to please! I am now a wine drinker thanks to heritage!

Let's be honest -- New Jersey wineries are spotty in quality at best. For every good experience we have had since moving here, we have had three mediocre to poor experiences. But we like to buy and drink local. And we are glad we found Heritage. We focus on their Estate wines, which are usually dry and come from French vinifera. The reds are excellent -- the BDX is as good as anything I have tasted, and the Cuvee Rouge is excellent at that price point. We absolutely love the Chenin Blanc as well, since we eat a lot of Indian and Thai food that this off-dry version pairs well with.Prices are a bit high for some of the Reserves. But with the membership, those wines become much more affordable.

I travel out of my way to get their Sugar Plum wine which is a sweet wine. I normally buy at least 3 bottles at a time. They have a nice tasting room and gift shop. Also pastries and cheeses. They also feature festivals although I have never been to one, but have seen them when I stopped to buy the sugar plum wine.

Visited the vineyard on a Tues afternoon. Tried the reserve tasting and they were very good. We especially enjoyed the 2011 BDX, 2011 Coeur d'Est and as a port alternative, the 2012 late harvest Chambourcin. The grounds are beautiful and great for a walk. Didn't get to try any of the food, as we had just eaten lunch, but will do so on the next visit as well as the Classic tasting. Absolutely worth the visit.

My husband and I are so glad that we found Heritage. It's become a weekly stop for us to enjoy the atmosphere and pick up a bottle of wine - both are done exceptionally well at Heritage. All of their wine is fantastic - from the fruit wines to the Merlots and Cabernet Francs. We haven't found a wine we didn't like yet! And the atmosphere at Heritage is second to none in terms of vineyards in New Jersey. On weekends, they typically have bands playing, they have tables where you can sit down and eat from a small menu from a chef they have on site, or you can choose from an assortment of cheese pairings, pies, and other desserts if you like. On Thursdays in the summer my husband and I went to their un"wine"d gathering where there are bands and a delicious pizza truck from 6-9 at night. It's a great date night experience in the middle of the week. Overall, we love Heritage and highly recommend them!

Went for their First Barrel Tasting. Pre-Ordered a few because we liked them so much; and bought a couple more bottles. Fun family atmosphere...kids on blankets, nice music AND wine. What's better than that! Also, they have a wine club you can join for free...among other things it gets you 20% off every case of wine you buy. My brother swears by the Truffle Place next door:0)

Heritage has a bunch of wines for everyone's tastes. I am a sweet wine drinker and I LOVE their Jersey wines-Jersey Red, Jersey White and Jersey Blush are to die for. They are great for mixing with sangria or on their own. If you want a pretty place to hang out, have a snack and drink some wine pack your picnic basket- their property is beautiful and has plenty of seating although it is all outside. We went this past weekend and their were 2 parties going on but there was still plenty of places for people to sit and enjoy the wine and the weather!

Looking for some top of the line wine at a decent price, then go the Heritage Vineyard. I'm partial to their Merlot. An excellent wine with a full body flavor. Heritage Vineyard has won several awards and was recently named New Jersey’s “Winery of the Year” by the Garden State Wine Growers Association. Over the spring, summer and fall months, they have weekend events that are very popular. You'll usually purchase a ticket and are able to try all their wines and enjoy food as well. At times, they have bands and other entertainment for the kids. As everyone knows that is from this area of New Jersey, the soil in this part of the state is some of the best farming soil in the country. World class tomatoes, corn and asparagus are grown here. Since the space is limited, you don't have the national distribution for these products, so most of the fruits and vegetables grown here are sold either through local stands or local food stores. New Jersey was the 2nd largest distributor of peaches in the country before the orchards started getting sold off by the younger generations who didn't want to farm the land anymore. The land that Heritage Vineyards is using for its wine grapes was once used to grow peaches and apples. You can't go wrong by stopping by and picking up some wine at heritage. Also, while you're there, try some of their other products, i.e. homemade pies and local cheeses. I live no more than a mile from this store, so I frequent it almost every week. There are cheaper wines in the local liquor stores, but for the price, none better.

My favorite winery. Delicious wines; reasonably priced, great porch with rocking chairs, great cheese pairings and gifts for the wine lovers on your list. .
