Love this winery. First, the scenery is lovely. This is a beautiful place.Secondly, the people who work here are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.Thirdly, and most importantly, the wine is fantastic! There is something for everyone. No matter if your taste runs from red to white, dry to sweet, you will find the perfect wine for you. This is my annual destination, even if it is only to run in and grab a few bottles (you can never just have one!). Prices are good. In my opinion, the best wine made in the U.S. and rivals many/most from overseas. You won't be sorry :)

Wine country at its finest. Accommodations were great and the hospitality was the best. The Food and Wine were exceptional. Make sure you attend the reception in the afternoon.

The wife and I stopped here as we visited several wineries in the area. We were greeted nicely, given some mulled wine. The place was packed! Waited about 10 mins for a spot at the bar. Tasted the whites and a couple desert wines. All was good, we ended up buying a couple bottles. This is by far the largest and most "commercial" of the wineries that I've visited.

We went with friends for the Friday night fishboil which was good, but lots of bones in the fish! They served dinner with a glass of their Riesling. It's so good that we got extra bottles for dinner, in fact the next day we went back and two of our friends each bought a case! It is a beautiful setting.

Nice selection of wines to choose from, great staff and appetizers to pair with the wines. Looking forward to returning.

We were not impressed with this place at all. We were disappointed. We were not even greeted or recognized when we walked in. There was a girl behind the bar but, she never said a word to us. We looked around at the wines but, they had them way overpriced compared to other wineries we've visited. Also thought the tasting was overpriced. So we left to look for something else. We would not go back.

Stopped by their Hearth & Vine restaurant for lunch last week. Great price on a pizza from their wood fired oven and a touch of their hard cider. This place has something for everyone in the family - don't miss it.

It could be that we just hit this winery towards the end of the day and when people had already had alot of wine to drink. But this winery seemed overly loud. Almost like a rowdy bar. The grounds were beautiful. It was great to walk over to cafe and be able to purchase food after an afternoon of tasting wine!

Black Star is my favorite winery with the best selection of wines. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly. There is a fee for the glass but you can bring it back for future tastings.

My wife and I have been to this tasting room before. As the first winery on the Old Mission Wine Trail, it is always our first stop. The ambiance is lovely and inviting. The staff friendly and knowledgable. The wines are delightful, with an array to suit any palette. We always take something home from Black Star.
