A great hike in the late spring or early summer months. Very peaceful place in the Columbia River Gorge.

Let me start out by saying that getting to the falls is probably more than half the fun. The hike - there are a couple of different trailheads I have taken - is fun for the whole family. My son has been going in here since he was 6. The gravel road to the trailheads are a short distance from pavement, the trail is nice and friendly, the scenery is natural full of trees, interesting river landscapes, and the waterfall kind of sneaks up on you suddenly, you round a bend and "whoa" there it is! And it is right in your face and a good big waterfall. I definitely suggest you come visit this waterfall hike, and while traveling through Carson stop at Backwoods and have a beer! Don't forget your NW forest pass.

Wonderful scenery of mossy trees along a beautiful creek, very good easy trail all the way to the fantastic double falls you have to see to believe.

Nice little hike with a bit of elevation gain, with a beautiful payoff. Easy to find, great facility at parking for restrooms and such.

The hike going to the falls was easy to moderate depending on your overall fitness as there is an incline but it is most enjoyable when you stop to take pictures along the way and take in the sound of the river. The path is well maintained and easy to walk on, I was just in my sneakers. Once you get to the falls the view is wonderful, take a moment and soak it in. Normally you'd need a NW Forest Pass which can be purchased at the Texaco in Carson but there was a sign posted at the entrance that said it was free, not sure why (time of year or day could be the reason)

The walk to these falls was not easy and took about an hour since we stopped along the way to take pictures. It was well worth the end result.

This is an easy short hike along a well groomed trail with a gradual incline on the way to the falls. The hike is easily manageable by non-hikers and young children who take their time along the path. The trail mostly parallels Falls Creek and there are many places along the trail with marvelous views. After a leisure hike (approx. 2 miles) along trail 152 you are presented with one of the most beautiful falls in all of Washington state. The trail end provides an amazing view of the 2 tiered falls. There is a trail that leads up to the base of the first fall, but it is a little more challenging but well worth the effort. This location is a photographers dream for waterfalls and old growth forests.

Be sure to climb up to the second set of falls (somewhat challenging but well worth the privacy and the view).

We did this short hike over the weekend as part of quick trip to Carson. This hike is fantastic. We hike often, so we consider this a shorter hike. However, extremely worth it. It is very beautiful. When I was reading reviews on it one stated that "it is the most beautiful falls in the state of Washington". I was skeptical, however, after seeing it I believe it. We started very late in the day; around 2, so it was very hot. Otherwise we would have followed trail 152 to the top after seeing the falls from the bottom. We will be back to take that hike as we enjoyed it immensely. Regardless of fitness level, although it is a climb, I recommend this hike what you see at the end is well worth it. You do not need a discover or forest pass nor pay a day use fee to park and hike on this trail.

This was a beautiful hike, moderate difficulty only because of the uphill, rocks and roots on the trail, although certainly very manageable in tennis shoes. Lots of spots for great photo opps. We were on the trail by 9 am and as we were leaving there was an increasing number of people just hiking in, so we were glad we went relatively early. We just did the lower falls trail which, to the falls and back to the parking lot, I believe was about 3 miles.
