And while we were their, we leaqrned that if you get their early stay their until their open, because they have marathon of runners closing down a road that blocked us off, lol!

I have visited the grounds before, but this was the first visit inside. I went with my son and daughter in law while they were here from out of state. I was enlightened by the diversity of art and exhibits to see. But I think my aww moments were the architecture of the building itself. Well worth the time and fee! I will go back and take my husband next time.

We happened to visit Philbrook on "2nd Saturday" which had the advantage of free admission...and the disadvantage of crowds. It still was pleasant, and, despite it being a short visit, we were pleased and impressed by the art works we saw. I hope for a return visit, perhaps on a weekday.

This museum is a beautiful representation of "old Tulsa". It is set in midtown where you will be amount beautiful homes and estates. The museum itself has beautiful grounds along with wonderful artwork from around the world. A very nice piece of culture right in the middle of town.

As a Tulsa resident, I have visited Philbook infrequently since the 1980's. I was first there with my grade school children and back from time to time during the holidays. Most recently I visited with my youngest daughter and her children, my 14 and 11 year old granddaughters. Both the kids are very much into art, but in very different ways. All four of us enjoyed a relaxing Sunday visit browsing the exhibits and catching up on the history of the facility built during the oil boom days of Tulsa.

The museum & grounds are a trip to the opulent early oil boom days when building your own Italian Villa was a sign you were one of the top oil Barons Collections of art were wonderfully diverse and fit the villa. With travel west it was only natural to collect Native American art if you're lucky you could catch a marvelous traveling exhibitionThe formal gardens mirrored the Italian symmetry and the newly expanded grounds make for wonderful walks in the spring and fallOverall a delightful afternoon

Built on a spacious formal garden by one of Tulsa's original oil baron's, this museum rivals those found in the major cities of the U.S. and even Europe. The displays are exquisite. The docents are extremely knowledgeable. We were told ahead of time to book brunch at the museum and it was a fitting start to a wonderful experience.

We love to visit the Philbrook at Christmas :) They always have a fun CHRISTmas tree exhibit! Of course the gardens are especially gorgeous during the summer!

I have been going to Philbrook for years and always enjoy my visit. I became a member this year and it is worth supporting such a fine museum. Philbrook is very active in the community and encourages all ages to enjoy art.
