I had stopped in Mr. Cool several times while I was in Podgorica and always felt safe, (the crowds and bartenders were quite friendly) but the last night i was in Podgorica, a patron pulled a gun and shot someone. I was impressed on how fast the security officer, risking his own life, tackled the man so he could only fire one round. I don't know the back story, other than I watched a man pull and shoot a gun. While I was originally not happy because I could have been shot, in talking with several people over the next several days, this is still the Balkans, which still has heavy firepower left over from the war and it is not uncommon to have these things happen. So, even though I was almost shot, I would still give this establishment an average rating because of how the matter was immediately handled by the professional security officer. On top of which, as nice as this place is, (it is in a basement) I would not have assumed that I was in any danger. In this day and age, these things do happen.
