Perfect dive location although there is a little bit of walking to be done from car park with your kit on, it is however set in an idyllic location with perfect views of Azures Window

I'm so lucky to be a local diver! Divers come from all over the world to dive in Malta & Gozo! And if you go to the Blue Hole you will see why! It is one of the dive sites that makes Malta and Gozo so appealing for divers! It is beautiful to just swim in as well have no worries!

I went with my daughters on stormy day and they loved it - the place is so dramatic that its beautiful any time of year. I have also been at the beginning of the summer and the clarity of the water is fantastic. The funny thing was people looking at us strangely from the buses as we spent hours in shorts and crocks jumping in and out of all the pools which were so warm. If we had our wetsuit we would have swam in the bigger pool. This is a must if you visit gozo. we used absolutely gozo to book our accomodation

The Blue Hole is a natural rock formation that offers a simple and sheltered entry for a number of possible dives. In fact, it is as easy as stepping into a large rockpool! But it drops down to about 20m. The only slight negative is that it is reached via a rough path over ancient limestone. This takes you down to the shelf where the entrance is formed. As you descend in the clear waters, there is a huge archway that starts at 8m depth and has a flat top covered in golden cup coral. There's also a large cavern that's well worth exploring at the bottom of the hole to the left of the entry point. This dive then leads you out of the Blue Hole and across the bay towards the Azure Window, so a really good quality dive. A day trip to Gozo allows you to dive both the Inland Sea and the Blue Hole with plenty of time to catch a ferry back to Malta.

I'm a local diver and I can tell you the blue hole is one of a kind. Personally it is one of the best places I ever dived in. Totally recommended if you're a diver and happen to be in Gozo

We were hesitating whether to go or not because of very strong and cold wind that was blowing. As all the photos of Blue Hole we saw we taken on sunny days and we were convinced that a visit would turn out into a catastrophe! Photos that I'll eventually add will show how magnificent nature can be ... Waves that mercilessly were banging on the coast with unimaginable force left us speechless. If you have a possibility to visit this place on the windy day - GO!It will be unforgettable experience!

It is definitely a nice place. And the view is impressive. But if the sea is calm even the sunset is not a highlight. Don't get me wrong, it is nice. But SO many other sight and coastal things are nice in Gozo, that this one is... not that extraordinary.

Many people see only the azure window and leave. Make sure you visit this small bit of sea and try and have a swim too! Slightly complicated to get to but well worth the effort taken.
