由城墙围绕的小城，每一条小巷弄都值得穿梭其中细细品味，蓝色的、黄色的、白色的、红色的交杂的墙面与屋顶，让整个小城鲜活起来。虽然墙面斑驳，甚至有些野草丛生，但却不掩其曾是浪漫的爱情小镇的风华。唯一美中不足的，餐厅有美食，却也苍蝇四处飞绕，盯着食物却不易驱赶，颇为恼人。

Quaint picturesque village an hour by bus from Lisbon. Good to explore and also enjoy lunch. Nice weather helps as all the white architecture appears better against the beautiful blue sky.

Came with some friends to visit this little town, full of bars, restaurants and litle shops, dont think theres people living there, its mostly all business. the place looks beautfiful, i enjoyed a beer at a Plaza, a ginjinha at a bar, prices where not that bad and i got very nice pictures from my visit there.Definately they can do a little bit better and take advantage of empty spaces they have, but i really enjoyed being there. The best thing was an old church, now holding a bookstore. First time in my life i see something like this. I wanna come back to have a dinner and a few drinks at night.

What a charming village! We spent a few hours here before heading further north to see the Alcobaca and Batalha monasteries. Fortunately, we were here in the morning in the off season (February), and we're able to leisurely stroll around town, stopping to take pictures and enjoy some local pastries. (I imagine it gets crowded in the summer months). It was windy and fairly cool, so we did not walk around on top of the city walls with our two young girls, though we heard it was a good experience from others that had! I would plan to spend between 2 and 3 hours here, depending on if you stay for a meal and if you decide to walk the walls (as well as the streets). Don't forget to pop into the Santa Maria church; the interior tile work is lovely. (And it's free.)For those with strollers, yes, it's possible, just expect a bumpy ride on the cobblestone streets.

We stayed in the Pousada in the village (excellent place) so had 2 days to explore. It was very busy during the day with huge bus groups, but after 5 it was deserted. We deked into a pub on the main street during a sudden downpour one afternoon and spent the rest of the day with a couple of Dutch hippies of a "certain age" and the owner who could pass as a history professor. What he did not know of Portugal you didn't need to know. Shop owners are polite, but not pushy. We enjoyed just walking the old streets and the flowers are amazing. I did walk the top of the castle for a short time just to say that I did it, but am not a big fan of heights. Everything is immaculate and a sense of pride is very obvious. If you are in this part of Portugal, you should go.

If anyone passes by the vicinity of Obidos, I strongly recommend paying a visit for at least 4 hours in this magnificent village.The village is quite small and its old touristic part is closed behind walls from the 13th century where the main Historic attraction is the castle (Castelo de Obidos).The village is surrounded completely by the old walls and it is recommended taking a stroll on the walls passages where you can have a different and beautiful view of the village.The village is built along a single main street full of shops selling artifacts, souvenirs, wine and oil. The houses are painted white decorated with blue tiles, and the small passages along the main street are preserved well also holding small shops.The atmosphere on the streets is of calmness and easiness, and from time to time some artists perform their skills on the street.For those who arrive there at late afternoon, many Hotels are available inside and outside the walls. I enjoyed it very much.

Obidos is a large medieval dream with Portuguese culture and the medieval twist. The village opens up at night to the people with live music and tasty restaurants and aswell loads of shops with loads of goods , handmade and fresh food. The castle stands high around this place of life and buzz. The streets are made from beautiful stone and the shops and houses are old yet fascinating with paintings and words that explain the history of the town. Definitely a must see visit. Just four stars for the shops standards nothing to big tho !.

Parei para conhecer a vila. Começou a chover e decidi esperar em um restaurante. Quando voltei ao carro, um ladrão o havia arrombado, quebrando o vidro e roubando o que havia dentro. Atenção pois o lugar não é seguro. Evitem.I had stopped to meet the village. It started to rain and I decided to wait in a restaurant. When I returned to the car, a thief had broken open, breaking the glass and stealing what was inside. Attention because the place is not safe. Avoid it!

My cousins took us to the village. It is beautiful. It was so picturesque. The cobblestones, the churches, the restaurants and stores were so quaint and pretty. We climbed to the top and took pictures. The views were lovely.

Good location, off the freeway A8 (Lisbon-Leiria) with good connections to A1. Many parking places before entering the walls.Recommend first stop at the tourist office (Turismo), by the parking lot before entering the walls. A map is useful.Good food as well. I recommend restaurants Muralhass and Cozinhas das Rainhas, but there more and good ones.Very well preserved this village, only allowed, few, cars. Without power wires in sight, nor antennas (except at the police GNR) and Nice people the locals.Wonderful corners, very photogenic,at the sunset is fantastic colors.Some cultural events very interesting and fun. Christmas Village, Chocolate Festival, Holy Week, and what only few people know, International Piano Week. A must.But if really want to visit the village, better avoid the events and some weekends weekend. Too many tourists / visitors packed realy.Go with time to see the places, the landscape from the walls, lunch or dinner or better stay there. At night we are all locals. Nice bars too. Two or three good hotels, in fact the Pousada and Senhoras Rainhas are very good to stay. Also friendly B&B guest houses, And the surprises, like a bookshop with a grocery for bio local produce. Super.
