This place is like stepping into a time machine to experience life inside a majestic home of a wealthy aristocrat from the 1880s. You can take your whole family, as the kids will be delighted to reach the attic - which is worth the visit alone - packed full of yesteryear toys, including a toy train that travels around above your head - it is like stepping into a dream world of your childhood - and it is very kid-friendly. Be warned - staff in the lower levels are highly vigilant and watch your every move - to the point where I felt a bit uncomfortable - even though I was not touching anything I promise!

Si vous passez à Dordrecht, c'est une maison à ne pas oublier !!!Magnifique restauration, on peut y voir le luxe du passé avec une splendide vue sur le port et la rivière.

Hier ga ikzelf jaar wel een keertje naar toe. Waarom? Gewoon omdat het kan. omdat het huis een mystieke aantrekkingskracht op me heeft. Omdat je de bewoners en de bedrijvigheid nog kunt voelen. Ik ga bij voorkeur als het niet druk is! Als je klaar bent, loop dan Kris kras wat straatjes in. Het havengebied is charmant om doorheen te wandelen in alle seizoenen.

Je bent terug in de tijd en krijgt een gevoel bij het leven in de 19e eeuw. Het is geen beleving voor een dag, maar wel om een uur of twee te vertoeven. Als je nostalgisch gevoel leuk vindt is dit een aanrader.

dit is iets voor het hele gezin .als je er loop heb je het gevoel als of je dadelijk oog in oog komt te staan met de heer van Gijn zelf, zo is de tijd daar stil blijven staan.als of de heer des huize even een boodschap is gaan doen .
