We had the chance to visit on a national holiday (11/11/2014). The weather was amazing (even-though cold) but everyone was on the streets in a full festive mood! One of the most vibrant places in northern Europe. Very clean, very welcoming...

This building with its beautiful structure and tower are completing the picture of the old town center and definitely add a nice finger print at the scene.

It's not a 'wow!' But it's a 'heh, cool!' Kind of looked at it but the more impressive part is the square it is located, the place is full of cafes, pubs, restaurants and little shops. It is it has a nice atmosphere, a busy atmosphere. Nice place to relax and have a casual early evening meander.

An Impressive city hall surrounded by a bussling town square. Some of the smaller squares offer more in terms of beauty and scope but for a large town square it is worth a sit down in a bar or two

Das imposante Steingebäude steht inmitten des Marktplatzes, grossenteils verkehrsberuhigt. Aus lokalem Kalkstein im 17. JH gebaut.

Fue un viaje hace tiempo ya, pero fue el lugar que me descubrió el estilo de vida europeo. Un lugar bien cuidado, con un encanto diferente, donde toma importancia la vida en bicicleta, con unos monumentos cuidados y una zona centro espectacular para pasear. La plaza en sí es grande, con calles pequeñas llenas de tiendas y rincones por descubrir. Sólo pude pasar allí una tarde, pero es un sitio digno de descubrir paseando, a mi me enamoró.

Wat ligt het er mooi bij op de Markt in Maastricht. Het stadhuis, gebouwd door Pieter Post. Alleen de entree naar de ingang, met de wereldlijke en geestelijke trap, brengt je in de prachtige monumentale hal. Hier kijk je naar boven met prachtige schilderingen, die ze nu aan het restaureren zijn. Een rondgang door het gebouw met een wethouder gehad, die veel wist over de geschiedenis en die ons in de prachtig burgemeesterskamer, wethouderskamer, trouwkamer, de keldergewelven heeft rondgeleid. Mooi stuk historie, waar je trots op mag zijn
