The theatre Severn is a lovely modern theatre, the bar is like a wine bar and the staff are very good, they should put a few more tables in the bar area.Toilets are like those of a modern hotel, really clean and for once a reasonable quantity. It's great to have seating out in the main waiting area, so many theatres lack this and because it's a relatively modern building there is lots of space. You can park directly behind the theatre at zero cost after six pm.The auditorium is very good and quite intimate. The seats are very good with lots of leg room and are very comfortable. Footloose was an amateur production, the cast worked hard. Some of the American accents sounded a good way off the mark and some of the top notes within the singing were not great. To change sets the decision was made to turn all of the lights off, fine at first but it did become a bit of a bore sitting in a blacked out theatre whilst there was a scenery change. There was no doubt that one or two players were miscast - lets not run away that this was a free event. The paying public quite rightly deserve the best that the group can offer and by a bit of swapping around, this would have benefitted the production. The dancing was very good by the main players, clearly some of the cast had difficulties making it hard to watchSo - crunch time, was it worth seeing. Well we visit the theatre at least several times a month around the country. Of course there is going to be a significant difference between this and a professional production. I truly believe in am/dram, it's a great thing to do and to support - so yes support this group.to the main we enjoyed our evening and it certainly beats sitting at home watching some of the dross on TV.To the cast - enjoy what you do and above all have fun. For those that do it clearly shows in their performance. To the producer and director - don't accept second best, aim higher and use the obvious talent better. Finally - the audience were fabulous, obviously friends and family to members of the cast, their support was contagious and fun.

We came to see the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, having arrived an hour early to have time for a sandwich we discovered they only had main meals (not cheap) so we headed elsewhere for food.We were seated in the back row of the circle, which provided a fantastic view over the orchestra, and the seats in front did not block our view. The acoustics were very good, providing a good sound despite our distance from the musicians. The dimmed lighting in the auditorium during the performance was unfortunately not quite dim enough as I had a light shining in my face throughout. There was a man selling icecream in the interval which, while a pleasant surprise, was not kind on the pocket (£5.80 ish for two magnums!). The toilets were clean and the theatre itself was clean, tidy, well looked after. The views over the river were quite magnificent in the afternoon sun. Very good student discount (£15 reduced to £5). I shall keep an eye on the programme and plan on visiting again.

Took the two Grandchildren to the mid-day performance yesterday Saturday 14th February. What a wonderful show, children loved it but will also add so did we. The six people on stage were all great so well made up the weasels and mole were brilliant. Toad played his part so well and everyone just had to join in as he was just great,The staff at the theatre were great which is nice to find when they are having to manage so many children in the audience. Also lovely people in the restaurant although did think the prices were a little steep. Must say the whole show was well worth the visit and well done to the entire cast FANTASTIC.

Went to the panto had a great afternoon. Excellent staff and show, would recommend both. Lovely venue with views over the river even though it was snowing when we were there.

We went to the Peter Pan panto last weekend, which was a wonderful afternoon of entertainment. All characters, props, staff and venue were excellent. I was immensely proud to experience such a wonderful show put on in my small home town of Shrewsbury. It would rival any major city performance. Well done to all and thank you.

We've been here every year since it opened for the Christmas Panto and absolutely lovely! Staff are always polite and helpful! Only downside is snacks and drive are so expensive!

Well what can I say! Panto in Shrewsbury's, theatre severn is guaranteed to have your sides splitting with laughter! I attended lasted nights press night! All actors were on form especially the wonderful Shropshire's favourite dame Brad Fitt who had various costumes that wowed the crowds! Sadly the theatre were experiencing some sound problems but as being in a theatre most of my time I pick up on this more, there were crackles and loss of volume but for general public this didn't seem to bother them! Captain Hook was great so was Sam Bradshaw who played the stinky pirate and a mermaid, he played his part exceptionally well! All participants were great the ones listed were to name a few! The venue is great and modern starting to look used now though! Fantastic christmas display, not a huge christmas tree this year though but it is definitely flying high! Peter Pan panto a MUST see this christmas!

Located close to the town centre and transport links this is a lovely multi-theatre venue, within 10 minutes walk of rail and bus station. I’ve only seen live music here – the acoustics are great. Shows are carefully planned to avoid over-crowding in bar area at intervals. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely terrace overlooking the river for summer visitors.
