Unable to walk like we used to but managed the 3/4 mile from the road to the top. Rewarded by wonderful views.

Views to Bristol Channel and Wales did'nt walk the half mile or so to the Beacon but still impressive

If you are anywhere near the beacon it is worth a stroll up a well defined path forabout 1/4 mile . Wonderful rolling hills and fine views across the Bristol channel

Various routes lead to the summit which may be accessed via a gentle stroll. Wild ponies and if you are lucky, red deer may be seen on the surrounding moorland.

Marvellous views of Exmoor - on a clear day - well worth the effort - suggest contact local walking group, the Exmoor Ramblers to join them on a group walk - very friendly and happy to oblige.
