Once you've been on one Scottish whiskey distillery tour, you've been on them all. Not true in this case. This was really a fabulous tour - very informative about the whiskey and the history of the distillery. The tour guide was excellent, moved at a great pace, left time for questions, and was able to answer questions. The facility was immaculate and visitors are able to view much of it - plenty enough to gain an understanding of the whiskey making process at The Glenlivet. The history aspect of the tour was really spectacular. The tastings were quite adequate. The visitor's center was very nice. Overall, it's a must see stop in Scotland!

The distillery was in a remote location. The drive through the Highlands to reach the distillery was beautiful. As we are familiar with Glenlivet, we know that they are a large producer and distributer, but the Glenlivet distillery tour was intimate with a small group of about 12 persons. The distillery was immaculate and gorgeous. The production process was clearly described by an excellent informative tour guide. Easy to recommend as it was an excellent tour.

This is an absolutely stunning distillery in a breathtaking location!! An excellent day trip for any one staying in the area which I would highly recommend.The tours are FREE which is a rare occurrence, but the low cost didn't mean a low quality tour. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the business. It was a really enjoyable day!Thanks

Please note we did not do the tour but stopped off here on our long drive south. We assumed that we would be able to get a lovely fresh bowl of soup or homemade scone to keep us going on the journey but the catering was pretty disappointing. Packet sandwiches were limp and not very generously filled, there was no scones or home baking (looked like bought in biscuits etc) and to be honest it wasn't very welcoming!Could have been so much better....shame.

simply a beautiful distillery to visit. the tour is leisured, personalised and highly informative, have done it a couple of times and all the tour guides are very well prepared and happy to engage with visitors. you also get a wee dram at the end, for free! the cafe/restaurant is really good and the estate surrounding the distillery is a must for a walk prior or after the whisky tour.

While this distillery is enormous, parts of it still have that authentic feel. The people there seem friendly and helpful and the facility is beautiful. Visitor center is well stocked and worth the visit, even has a small cafe. Worth a visit.

The Glenlivet distillery tour is one of the best, and I've been on quite a few, especially if Ian Logan is running it. The man is a walking encyclopedia of whisky lore, and truly proud of the product they produce. The distillery is spacious, the cafe smart, the museum interesting and the shop very tempting!

We had an excellent tour by Jenny and the highlight was at the end where you can choose to taste a 10 year, 15 year or 18 year. Then you're also given the option to buy a small glass of some very expensive bottles. Since the tour was free, we decided to take advantage of paying to taste some of these rare and expensive whiskys and we're so glad we did! A great tour!

We've been to more than thirty distilleries in Scotland and Ireland and the Glenlivet tour is one of the best. Jenny, our guide, was animated and pleasant, easy to listen to. She guided a good tour with interesting information. We had a nice dram at the end of the tour. Very importantly, the tour was free (one of the few who don't charge). Glenliviet is certainly worth your time to visit.

I have done umpteen distillery tours - and truth be told, they often blend into one another. It was refreshing on The Glenlivet tour that they were showing off their impressive productivity. Often times, distilleries show their romantic side, and hide the inevitable productivity that comes with success. The Glenlivet bucked that trend, and the tour was all the better as a result. Excellent your guide, excellent visitor centre. First class. Free as well !
