This centre (Clyde Muirshiel at Lochwinnoch) is fantastic. Excellent walks around the forest and up the hills to Windy Hill and down to the old mine too. There is also the river and waterfall to see. Nothing too adventurous for serious climbers but also good for children.Excellent dark skies forstargazing.Some great events and nature talks are held here.The road is a little worn but drive with care and you are fine.The visitor's centre is very good with excellent staff, drinks and snacks. Maybe consider hot food in summer? A money spinner I'd think. The park is huge overall going all the way to Largs and Greenock.An excellent half day in the open air with a picnic and nature. Super.

Excellent facilities and information centre! Easy to find paths! We cycled up to the old mine! Thoroughly enjoyed it even thought it poured with rain! Brilliant scenery and wildlife too!

Great place for family walks. 1hr -3 hrs. Walk up to windy hill is pretty easy, grat for young kids but will give them a sense of achievement. Fantastic place to fly a kite, sledge or just clear some cowebs.Longer walk up to abandoned mines pretty interesting. Small visitors centre, shop and machine dispensing hot drinks. Toilets
