Brilliant! A beautifully put together tour through the history of Londonderry. It explained and taught and made me understand far more than I had before. The videos and the exhibitions were excellent. Normally I get bored by the end of a tour and start missing out the videos but not this time! There was also an interactive area.

A first trip to Derry was further enhanced by a visit to this superb museum. It covers the history of the city in a straightforward and chronological manner. Many of us know headlines about the city in the last 50 years, but the museum provides context in an even handed manner. The setting within the walls is used to best effect. And the unexpected story of a shipwreck from the Spanish Armada added a further nuance to history. My kids are in their 20 ' s and we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit, that was prompted by my mother being a WRN in the city during WW2.

Located in the drum tower of the Londonderry wall. The Museum tells the story of the Spanish Armada and the ships that sank, with items from one of the ships. There is also plenty of other interesting things to see in the Museum.Don't forget to visit the walls and the Cathedral, you can see the murals on the houses from the walls.

We were in the city working and took some time out to visit the museum. We were very glad that we did - the Armada exhibition is very well laid out and was very informative and interesting. A great mix of exhibits, information panels and interactive content. The staff at reception (Olivia and Liz) were very friendly and helpful and were able to answer all of our questions.Highly recommended for anyone who is in the area.

£2.40 for a concessionary ticket. Great value with two separate exhibitions. Allow yourself a minimum of two hours ...you can even break for lunch and then return. Fabulous exhibition . Highly recommend

Gives you an extensive history of the city and it's formation. It stays neutral politically. There is a great exhibit right now of one of the Armada ships that sunk of the coast.
