This little church on the walls was my childhood church and it is great that it is now being opened up for many other people to enjoy of all faiths and none. You can combine a visit to St Augustine's with a walk around the city walls.You will learn of its history and be able to chat to some friendly, helpful people. Enjoy!

Within the walled city you will find the ancient church of St. Augustine. The graveyard is so interesting, we visited it twice. Ancient carved gravestones from pre-plantation times. A must see in Derry!

MY first visit was for a wonderful "Autumn" evening event of poetry, prose and songs - what a treat. The little church and the grounds are adorable. IT's only open on Sundays for 11am mass, I wish it were open more than that, but perhaps this keeps it so special.

Fantastic little church on the city walls, fantastic both inside and out. We are very lucky to have travelled around the world and visited many, many places. One thing we have done for years is visit graveyards if we were in the area. Don't get me wrong we are not weirdoes who go round the world looking at graves, however we have seen the grave yards of the Burma railways, and at Nelsons dockyard in Antigua. It is interesting to read and research the epitaphs on some grave stones. Here in Derry we found for the first time standing stones with a "skull & crossbones" engraved on the them. In a historic city like Derry there had to be an explanation. We spoke to many historians who gave us their views, you must come here to make up your own minds.

This little place in much more simplistic that the nearby St.Columb's, but well worth the short walk (less than 100 metres). You can also access the city's walls without steps here.

This is a nice church right off the city walls. I only spent about 15 minutes there, but it was worth it.

Situated near the famous Walls of the city, this church is so close to the Cathedral that it might easily be overlooked, but it is a very lovely church in its own right, beautiful without being imposing, inspiring and calming.

The atmosphere of this beautiful church, which has survived so much, was remarkable. A place to sit and contemplate for a while how far Derry has come and how amazing that the church still stands on the walls, giving welcome to all.

Friendly guides will answer questions. Very small church with beautiful flowers on the grounds. They did a special woven project which is on display .
