It's totally unique the staff are amazing, the Navan Centre is seeped with history. If you are visiting Armagh this is a 'must do' on your trip. They recently opened their 'Ecology Trail' perfect for children. The restaurant is fantastic for all ages.

Worth a visit especially in the spring/summer when there are real people enacting the Bronze age settlers. Everything seems so real

What an entertaining place Navan Fort is and especially the living history character Finn. He was full of stories and brought the place to life.

Visited with a group of men from my church. None had been there before and some were bemused by the a/v presentation. However they warmed to the Bronze age settlement because the 'chief' went out of his way to bring them into life in B.C. Armagh. Guided tour well worth the climb especially as it was a beautiful day. The group of American students who shared the tour seemed to be equally impressed. One was most envious of us who lived in a country with such an intriguing and mystical history.

My family and I went to see Santas Ice Capades and we were all very dissapointed. The panto was boring with a silly story, the tasks were meaningless and the Santas grotto experience was terrible. We were crammed into a small space while Santa took the children up one by one in front of everybody. If your child is any way shy like ours it is not very comfortable for them. It was very amateurish with very little effort made by participants to interact with the children. Never again and I wouldn't advise anyone to go. If you want a good experience go to Santas grotto beside Armagh shopping centre. They are friendly, kind and great fun, unlike Santas ice capades.

Visited Navan Fort with a walking group and were lucky enough to get a lovely day for the walk. We had a meal afterwards in the restaurant and it was first class. All in all a great day out.

The tour guides were terrific, and the information they provided was interesting. It was pouring down rain, but on we went anyway! Worth doing.

This was a great place to visit. The tour was very interesting and wasn't a difficult walk and definitely worthwhile. We had a lovely lunch. The shop had a good selection of products.

This is about 40 mins walk, or a short drive / bus journey from town. There is a very good exhibition, with a fee, together with a free wander up to the 'fort', which is probably more of a site of gathering and spiritualism - there are no definitive answers as to what the site was used for, and sometimes it's nice to not know why...The walk to the 'fort' takes only a few minutes, so would recommend visiting the exhibition, which gives great insight into the archaeology and possible history of the region more widely.Part of the fee for exhibition includes short tour of likely early settlements - where questions are very welcome.Usual cafe, toilets, etc. are available.

We visited recently with our kids aged 9, 7 and 4 and it was a highlight of our holiday in Northern Ireland. The centre has a great balance of activities and information. We planned to be there for about an hour and ended up dragging the kids away after four hours! The staff really made it special for the kids and took time to engage with them - they are really enthusiastic and understood what interested the kids. Highly recommended.
